Difference is, if it happens under Trump, it actually is his fault and his creation ... not the result of worldwide inflation as it was under Biden.

I’d be surprised if Trump can muster up a coalition to do anything in his administration that affects the economy for the better or worse. Tax cuts are about all I see him getting done. I guess we will see.

Obviously Trump is inheriting a crap economy. We knew that would happen well over a year ago. We've been in a recession imo. Job growth was actually job decline. Massive federal debt.

If you lost your job between April 2023 to April 2024 you could get a new job without too much trouble. Since May 2024 that hasn't been the case.

The growth in M2 will control inflation roughly 14-23 months down the road per Milton Friedman. As Barney Fife said, "Nip it in the bud."

Obviously Democrat tools and immigration traitors will be rooting for a US economic collapse. Something like that is already baked in the cake if I had to guess.

Yes ... 2024 was a recession year ... with 3.1% GDP ... full employment ... and 20% stock market gains ... good call ... well crafted thoughts there, sir.

What part is wrong? If you actually think kicking the farmer’s low cost workers out of the country and getting slapped with retaliatory tariffs from other countries won’t cause prices to rise, and shortages, then you know less about economics than Trump…

If Trump hurts enough people bad enough it will turn enough away from the Republican Party and increase the democrats ability to get one of their reps elected.

I doubt he will have enough support from congress to do that.

If they can't harvest the nuts in California nobody can. They have a large crop of nuts in that state including the one running it.

Supply and Demand driven price increases isn’t a recession, though, in fact, more likely shows a strong economy … my point is 2024 wasn’t a recession…

Average inflation for 2024 will come in around 2.7%. That's better than average from Reagan through Bush I, and around the average for Clinton and W. Bush. Wages have also been outpacing inflation so far in 2024.

There's nothing in the 2024 numbers that squeak recession, let alone say it. We're not in the mature economy we had for 11 years under Obama through COVID, but by any measure, it's a strong economy.

According to republicans, presidents MUST be blamed for everything that happens on their watch. And I do mean EVERYTHING, including toilet paper.

Wages still haven’t caught up to the damage done over the last 4 years. Nice effort at only looking at data that fits your narrative.

The claim was we're in a recession. While there is no official recession definition, the two straight quarters of negative growth covers six months of time. I used 12 months worth of data and that data clearly shows no recession.

Speaking of data, you're claim that wages haven't kept of with inflation under Biden is wrong. As of July, 2024, inflation was about 20.8%, but wage growth was 22.3%. But people don't always care about facts. Asks many people felt inflation was higher.

This is because of "loss aversion." People feel more pain from a loss than they do joy from an equal victory. In other words, an increase in prices will effect people more negatively than a raise will effect people positively.
