I just reviewed all Gator softball rosters going all the way back to the first year which was 1997. There has never been a number 38 Gator softball player.
I decided to ghosted it and just post the remaining days for 38, 37, 36 and 34. After 34 we're covered with a jersey from some player. I am posting this year's roster instead of a past star. Last year I posted Amanda for 18. This year, it will be be Kara.
My AI search found this: In January 2025, NCAA Division I softball teams can begin championship segment preseason practice 35 days before the first permissible contest date. Our first game is February 6th. Literally, CTW can start practice as soon as classes start.
Hannah Flippin, a one time Ute wore #37 when she played on the 2023 USA Softball team. It took me some time to find anyone that wore 37. For some reason it is not a very popular number.
There has never been a 36 or a 34 either. We had one at 35 and she will be featured then. But at 33 and after, we have had at least one Gator to wear every number down to double zero, so from 33 we will have players on the countdown.
HAPPY NEW YEAR OF THE GATORS! Prediction: Gators win SEC with 18 wins. They will lose first series to Tex A&M, win the rest with sweeps over Ala, Auburn and Miss. State. Oklahoma will be second with 17 wins. Reagan and Ava will hit 20 plus home runs. Red will be Freshman pitcher of the year, Taylor Freshman of the year. Too many accolades for our players to go into here.. only way to start new year is with OPTIMISM. Eat plenty of Black Eyes, Greens And Hog Jowl and have a great 2025.
HAPPY NEW YEAR Fellow Gators Softball Fans! May all your resolutions and wishes come true this year, including a Gator Softball SEC Title and Softball Natty!
