Def some truth to this. Do you, however, think that Trump enabled/encouraged racism when he did/said the following? "They're eating the dogs." Described the white supremacists protesting the removal of a Confederate statue in Virginia as “very fine people.” Immigrants are ruining the “fabric” of the country (a country composed of immigrants) Called people "animals" Accused immigrants to taking American's jobs Questioned whether Obama was born in the U.S. Questioned Harris's racial identity Told rally attendees that migrants will “cut your throat” Told conservative radio host Hugh Hewitt that migrants have “bad genes.” I think it's quite obvious that he has emboldened his racist followers (not all of his followers are racist) to act/speak in racially offensive ways.
No offense, but I don't get that. Saying that racists support Trump is saying that racism didn't exist before Trump? People who want more restrictive border policies support Trump ... is that saying he invented the idea of closed borders?
Water is wet. I’ve said before I’d rather have bad people come out and let me know who they are and what they believe so I can get or stay the hell away from them. Last thing I want to do is associate or hang out with bad people. Kind of like what I did with my family (cousins) I want to know so I can decide.
Trump didn’t make people racist just like he wasn’t first in wanting a secure border. I don’t like Trump as a person but voted for him in 16 because I wanted a conservative Supreme Court. To some people that vote makes me a racist. lol
Come on man, where have you been. People have said this 1,000 times; voting for Trump doesn't mean someone is definitely a racist. It means that voter is willing to tolerate his adultery. I mean sexual assaults. His lying, that is. Sorry, I mean knowingly accepting help in an election from Russia. Oops, I meant stealing classified documents. Doh- I meant criminally conspiring to overturn an election. Sorry, I meant trying to extort an ally. Man, I apologize, I got twisted up. It only means that voter is willing to tolerate Trump's obvious racism.
Said it before. Within less than a year the American electorate will come to the realization of why Trump left office with an approval rating of 34% at the end of his first term.
Trump actually represents a tradition in American politics. These folks were demonstrating in favor of closed borders in 1926. Nativism and the Second Ku Klux Klan | United States History II
And they were Democrats. I am sure Joe Biden knew a bunch of them in his younger days like Robert Byrd.
