38 seconds to go, game over except for kneel downs and they decide to fight it out, eight ejections, a ref got a bloody face. Both coaches suck.
I thought ECU got hosed on a scoop and score that got called back when it was ruled that the NC State QB's forward progress was stopped, even though there was no whistle. Looked like both coaches tried to get their teams off the field but these two teams just don't like each other.
At the risk of sounding like an anarchist, maybe a few more refs should be cracked. Especially ACC refs.
They did get hosed. It's one thing to make a mistake....quite another not to make it right after review....these officials are a bunch of weasels......
Refs and cops have common traits because their job function is similar. They almost never admit a mistake and you can count on them sticking together. And if you talk about correcting errors, you can get fierce resistance from the folks paying them.
Well, both teams appeared passionate and unified as opposed to a bunch of mercenaries playing for a transfer pay day.
Its a judgement call on forward progress but there was either a whistle ot there wasnt. To me, its no different than blowing a whistle before a play should be over. Its still a dead ball. The whistle cant be overturned nor can it be imagined afterward. The only question is as a rule, can an imaginary whistle be inserted in instant replay and make it a judgement call.
