lol. It’s just like the same posters yelling that all the polls were right wing garbage and the betting sites were musk dictating the favorite. Yet none of them would bet on Harris getting odds. Turns out the odds were right and the only polls that were garbage were the left leaning ones.

Apparently your recollection has been colored by more recent events. While Biden appeared to be a doddering elderly man in their 2024 debate, it was Trump rather than Biden who demonstrated the more serious cognitive decline in their 2020 debate and although you apparently thought that the media was exaggerating the impact of Covid 19 during the early stages of the pandemic the images of Covid patients in ICUs as well as refrigerated trucks being used as temporary morgues didn't exactly help an incumbent president who predicted that the virus would disappear.

USSC has ruled that it is free speech to buy an election. It is what our founders intended.

He has said he did it to save free speech and anyone arguing that twitter isn’t more free now than before he bought it is either ignorant or lying.

Has anyone wondered why the polls leaning Trump and the betting sites favoring Trump turned out to be correct and not bullshit? Where do most on this site get their “real” info? Cause it doesn’t seem too real.

You should pass that along to Prez Musk.
After Loopy Loomer was critical om musk Elon removed her subscribers, the blue badge, and has now suspended the account of Loomer.
I seem to remember entire “Twitter Files” hearingsabout how it’s bad when the government stifles speech. How will Elon reconcile hiscontrol of social media when HE is thegovernment?

Again, not the point you or others were making. I’m not sure why you feel it’s appropriate to name call people that may disagree with you but so be it.

On the topic of free speech and Twitter, I haven’t even thought about it. Doing a cursory google search indicates it’s not nearly as clear cut as you claim though. This link has the raw data on enforcement actions which are up in some areas and down in others. The data can be interpreted however you like.

Pro-Harris dark money group shoveled more than half a million dollars to firms owned by its founders

The source of so-called dark money fueling the largest Democratic super PAC that supported Vice President Kamala Harris’s presidential run passed off hundreds of thousands of dollars to companies partially owned by its leaders in 2023, newly released tax filings show.

Future Forward USA Action is a 501(c)(4) nonprofit organization that pumped north of $100 million worth of untraceable cash into Future Forward PAC, a political committee that spent over half a billion dollars unsuccessfully working to elect Harris. In addition to using its anonymously sourced war chest to boost the Democratic White House bid, Future Forward USA Action also shuffled just over $700,000 to firms its leaders either co-own or helped launch — adding on to prior payments.

GCJ Research, which was founded by Future Forward USA Action Treasurer Gaurav Shirole, received $370,000 from the organization in 2023, documents show. PFB Media, a firm co-owned by Future Forward USA Action President Chauncey McLean and Secretary Jon Fromowitz, meanwhile, took in roughly $340,000.

This is far from the first instance of self-dealing in the Future Forward nexus. Future Forward USA Action, for example, paid these same companies $1.1 million in 2022, according to tax forms.

The world has always been run by the rich. Step out of line, and you get smashed. Only way that changes is if the world's population unite. Dont see that happening with all the cultures, religions and governments designed to keep them in control.

True although the last time that the wealthy were as influential as they will be in the second Trump Administration was in the Harding/Coolidge/Hoover Administrations of 1921 to 1932. A similar period was during the Gilded Age of the 1890s. Interestingly the Gilded Age was followed by the Progressive era which saw vigorous enforcement of ant-trust laws, the creation of the Federal Reserve, the creation of the Food and Drug Administration, the progressive income tax and Women's suffrage. The 1920s were followed by the New Deal which saw the creation of Social Security, pro-union legislation (the National Labor Relations Act of 1935), and regulation of financial markets (the Securities Act of 1933).

Do you even read what you post? So it is your contention that twitter/X is more suppressive of speech now than before Musk bought it? Just want to be crystal clear here.

I’m not name calling you. Simply pointing out there is only 2 options for anyone who thinks X/Twitter is more restrictive now than before musk bought twitter. If you agree with that premise then I think you should maybe rethink how partisan you are.

I linked the stats on twitter restrictive actions. It appears they are more permissive now of some things and less permissive of others. Seems that’s a qualitative assessment rather than something you can empirically state as fact but I don’t really care. My only point was it wasn’t Musk playing 4D chess when he was forced to purchase twitter.

No. I am suggesting millions of votes were made up in important key areas (especially big cities). But neither of us can prove it. The brilliance of mail in prong for no reasons out of nowhere (Covid).

However you really have to be naive to think 81 million voted for Biden. IMO.

    Brilliant.

    That's a pretty on-brand response for a MAGA caught in a lie.
