Maybe it says something about the kid. He likes that coach that was pouting on the sidelines.

Not sure Peterson has much to do with the linebackers, he coaches edge. Roberts is inside linebackers and I think Armstrong was mostly outside linebackers.

I normally dont agree with you, but this time I agree with you. Lots of recruitniks in GC, but fail to notice that BH is 247s top 6 recruiter this year with average of close to 95 rating for 4 guys.
    It's tough crowd here.

buuut to play devils advocate…name the last WR Gonzales has recruited from HS that was drafted to the NFL? Granted the landscape of CFB has changed with the portal but I wanna say his time at LSU for a little bit was when a WR he recruited and signed out of HS was drafted. That’s wild

While I’m one of those who was glad to see BG back, I'm not so sure today. I’ll ask this. would BG have pulled those WRs without NIL or Lagway?

So because we have a strong QB and NIL pipeline, you’re not happy that BG came back?

You realize many of the "great recruiters" touted by many here over the years were backed by money under the table right? I mean Sal sunseri couldn't recruit at Florida but at Bama had no shortage of lineman talent. There have been quite a few examples of those situations. Not that we didn't have money thrown around here and there but guys like Hugh Freeze, Saban, Smart anyone at LSU etc clearly had a different payroll.

And I'm not saying BG may not be lacking in salesmanship. I don't know anything about him nor do others here really. I'm just pointing out that not giving credit now because money is openly tossed around or that we have lagway isn't right.

Since there's little restrictions on coaches now, how long before some team has a staff that recruits (salesmen) and one that coaches (teachers)?

    Henderson?

I look at it as he recruits as hard as the head coach he is under. CBN was a receivers coach also.

I don’t really care where he gets them from. He’s never been a lights out recruiter, but he’s getting talent and getting them to play. Should have two drafted this year.

So, unsure doesn’t mean fully unhappy. I was happy that he came back. I asked a logical question. Did BG make it happen or? That’s all I asked. I’d even taken BG back. I’m not opposed, I was just asking the question. For me, it more about his connection with players, not his coaching.

Would Wilson have chosen the Oregon money over Florida money if we did not have DJ?

If he’s lucky, was a 1st rounder until he turned into an INT machine. Dude dropped like a rock mid-season.
