The overwhelming majority of mods on this board are conservative. I believe that reflects the political stance of ownership. In recent times there have TWO moderate to left mods on TH. Sadly, one recently stepped down and Two Hot and Gator Country have paid a price as a result. Look at the number of threads they started, review them for childish nicknames for people on the other side of the political spectrum and finally for the number of negative ratings they left for other posters. If you do the same analysis of these things for most of the conservative mods such as @tilly and @OklahomaGator , the results would be remarkably similar. The common theme there is RESTRAINT. And that's how a mod should be when dealing with people of opposing political views, especially with posters who actually pay to be here and support this place financially.

Some people simply lack the temperament and restraint to moderate a political board. I couldn't do it. One only needs to look at threads that are created on the sports side of the board and compare them to the threads started there. If you see a sharp contrast, such as the sports threads offering genuine insight and information, lacking silly nicknames primarily designed to annoy certain groups of posters and restraint in leaving negative ratings, that contrast is indicative of an issue. TH, in my view, should not serve as a mod's political platform.

Russia... the Dems sell them 20% of our Uranium Ore in the Uranium One deal, and it's Trump that is a Russian Putin asset? You guys are impossibly naive to think we don't know that PROJECTION...

URANIUM ONE NEEDS TO BE INVESTIGATED... Maybe the Dems should have stopped with the Russsia collustion delision BS a long time ago, becasue all it does is bring back UNANIUM ONE THEFT everytime.

Keep that Russia lie going... it only reminds me of that unranium theft...

Mods have an impossible job. We cannot and should not expect them to put their political leanings in a shelf. Nor should we expect them to mute their voice.
What we can expect and should hold them to is treating both sides fairly. I have called out a mod for what I believe was crossing that line .( Most of that was done via private messages and not openly on the forum.)
Has Bill broken a rule? Has bill created one side unfairly as a mod? If not.. then there is no issue. So far this seems to be nothing more than”we do t like how much and what he posts and we can’t block him so it’s not fair”. Again. Don’t open his threads. I have never and will never block someone. I just don’t read some of y’all’s drivel. It’s pretty easy to do.

This starting to get really old. First, Uranium One was a Canadian Company not a Russian Company; secondly it was acquired by the Russian company Rosatom for the purpose of acquiring high quality uranium ore in Kazakhstan, not lower quality American uranium ore and finally uranium in any form cannot be exported from the US without the consent of Department of Energy and since the acquisition the only US uranium exported by the company was a small quantity of minimally enriched uranium which was sold to a European company for electric power generation.
