LOL. Ok, so in Dec of 1979 Sea Ice in Antarctica was around 17% less than it is in December 2024. That's doesn't in any way sound like the "sea ice is melting at astronomical rates" crowd has been saying for decades. If you want to be ignorant and think that's bad, that's a you problem.

Of course not. But antarctic ice famously fluctuates. A lot. It increased for a couple decades since '79 (1% per decade), then dropped a lot. Then increased a little .. you get the idea. No matter the issue, two data points don't make a trend. Particularly coming from a known hack

Sea ice extent is especially variable and it varies a lot by year and location. If we're comparing 1979 to 2024, the average global temperature has been about 2 degrees fahrenheit warmer in 2024 than it was in 1979. That's a big difference.
