I'd love to see Lagway calling more and more as time goes by.

Via audible, you're right. Spurrier called the initial play, but even said at one time during the presser that it was Danny's job to change it into the right play for the defense presented. He always said that there was a successful play for every defense, you just had to get the O into it.

I think it was Danny who told Spurrier, "We're going to start using the shotgun."

If true, he certainly had his reasons

  7. I am not complaining about Napier’s Army, but I am saying that his army could use an air force. By that I mean, a dedicated OC who can unlock next level potential in these athletes— something to give Florida a tactical advantage against similarly talented athletes and coaches.

To be fair OP brought the topic into discussion in his post so it’s a fair topic to discuss IMO. Besides there is no dedicated thread on whether he needs an OC or not.

I had someone else's numbers, but the new ESPN numbers are very close to those.

I wonder what the best offense in the nations rank would be if they played the defenses we played this year. My guess would be, not number one.

That's why statics are flawed in several ways... You know the saying. There are lies, dammed lies and statistics.

Who said we need to have the #1 offense? Nobody. There's a big difference in the #1 offense and the #64 ranked offense. He needs an OC, big time, but he won't get one. While we do need an OC, I'm not under any illusions that if he hired one it would go well. He is still trying to learn how to coach in the SEC.
