The report found that Gaetz paid $90,000 to 12 women, a substantial portion of which the panel found was likely for either sexual activity or drug use. It also determined there was "substantial evidence" Gaetz had sex with a 17-year-old girl while serving in the House.

However, someone identified as "Victim A" told the panel of twice having sex with Gaetz at a party in 2017 while she was underage, receiving a $400 cash payment that she understood to be for sex.

At the time, the victim had just completed her junior year of high school. She testified that she did not inform Gaetz that she was under 18 at the time, nor did he ask her age. The committee did not receive any evidence indicating that Gaetz was aware that she was a minor when he had sex with her.

The report concluded that the encounter likely violated Florida state law on statutory rape because Gaetz was 35 years old at the time. Gaetz denied in a written submission to the panel that he had sex with anyone under the age of 18, but did not address the specific allegations related to "Victim A," according to the report.

Read what the DoJ said about these false allegations, Sherlock. Enlighten yourself WITH FACTS... and not BS talking points.

 

The DOJ has not commented on the case. In fact, if you read the report, you would know that they didn't even participate in this investigation as a matter of department policy.

Also, if you had read the report, you would know that the most serious accusations are of state crimes, like statutory rape, not federal charges. In fact, the report specifically stated that they couldn't provide sufficient evidence of sex trafficking, which would require him bringing the 17 year old across state lines for sex. Instead, the report states that they have "substantial" evidence of him having sex with a 17 year old Florida resident in Florida. That is statutory rape, given his age at the time, but that isn't a federal issue. It is a state issue.

Gaetz was the one exposing the corruption in Congress. He named names.

So they turned on him. Where are the reports on the true corrupt members of Congress? Buried.

The charges against Gaetz are preposterous. Let them be presented in a forum where he can call and cross-examine witnesses. Until then I give little to no credibility to these BS charges
