I still pull for SEC over other teams because I think it serves us well to be in the strongest football conference in the country.
BUT, more and more when watching our conference brethren play I find myself pulling for other teams or kind of neutral. I was conflicted yesterday watching Texas vs Clemson. Even though Georgia is SEC it wouldn’t hurt my feelings if ND beat them. And as much as I dislike Ohio State, I can’t shed any tears for Tennessee even though I preferred that they would win. I really dislike Heupel.
I rarely pull outright for the Big Ten. Only way I could pull for Ohio State, Michigan or Penn State is if they were playing FSU.

Yeah, that was my whole point. I think you probably expressed it better than I did.

This will also end the discussion of so many SEC teams in the CFP from here on out. We should have no more than any other Power 4 conference and I could see the Big 10 having more than us. We have to prove we deserve more slots. Tennessee was overrated, Texas most likely won't make it past Arizona St, and Georgia definitely won't beat Notre Dame. Indiana should have never been in the CFP.

When you look at the field of 12, it becomes glaringly apparent the 12 team format is 20x worse than the 4 team playoff. All road teams in round one were thrashed, with Tennessee providing the exclamation point. It remains to be seen if an 8 seeded Ohio St proves me wrong, but if so, then maybe we should have stuck with an 8 team format. In round one, the 9th, 10th, 11th and 12th seeded teams were dismantled leaving the Top 8 seeds. Maybe we should have started out with the Top 8 playoff. No 9th - 12th ranked team needs to be considered for a title.

We were at the NC game, too. They did have a distinctive ''we're better than you' attitude that didn't last very long. I still call them bucknuts.

I'd rather had seen Ole Miss in this game.

A 3-loss team probably isn’t deserving of a run at a national championship.
12 teams is too many. 8 is more credible

You and I don’t have quite the same level of hatred for Georgia……but I’m getting there.

And still some are calling for 16 teams. UGH.
    I pray not.

I’ve thought 12 was the best but I think the way the season shook out the seeding was wonky it lead to some lopsided seeds.
This is in part to the Mega conferences. If The PAC12 was still around OSu would have played in the Big 10 champ and been a top seed like Oregon (if the won the Pac 12.

Big 12 would have had Texas as a top seed as well.

I’ll add in the mega conferences suck at least from where I sit with the scheduling. UF got saddled with UGA,UT,TAAM,Texas, Ole Piss, and LSu. Plus UM this year. Can’t think of any SEC team that had that much of a gauntlet.

The big 10 vs SEC issue was settled by the media BS that year when the Gators humiliated Ohio State. Let me repeat... humiliated the Buckeyes and their Heisman winning QB. We are going to hear some crap from the Tennessee game and more if Ohio State or Oregon wins the whole thing here. I really don't care. The SEC teams degrade themselves every year by playing each other and there are plenty of metrics that show the SEC is by far the best league. Let those pretenders claim that they are better and crow. It won't last long. I just want UGA and bowlcut to lose. Second, Texas and Matthew McConaughey need to lose. I think those things benefit UF just as much as the alternative. I won't ever support those programs. I want UGA and bowlcut to lose every game - even when they play the SOW. The SEC can go frick themselves. We owe them nothing. I wish we could get back to the place where we win and the entire SEC hates it. We've been there before and I want it again. That's a lot but I get the feeling the SEC is noticing UF. They may be worried that giving us that killer schedule didn't quite work. Hell they might have thought that the hidden dagger of making sure many of our opponents had a bye week before playing us was going to insure we'd be in the middle of another reset and looking for a new coach at this point. That didn't quite work either.

    Go Ducks!

We've had bragging rights for two decades if you want to look at it like that. Beat them in 2012 also.
