More on the idea that Russia's economy probably won't survive much more than another year of Russia losing this war. Putin's core supporters (public sector workers) are getting 9% annual raises to help them cope with runaway inflation (the "official" inflation rate is 9%). The problem is that actual inflation is running closer to 20+%.

Russia's coal industry is starting to collapse, as the industry is losing money for the first time in four years. Numerous industries in Russia are lining up for federal assistance, but there is little to be had.

The government's rainy day National Wealth Fund is at its lowest level since 2008, at $31 billion.

Russia's economy has irreversibly turned toward a 'stagnation trap,' think tank says

Question for you hidebound Democrats …

If Trump continues to fund Ukraine, as rumors suggest he will, will you turn on Ukraine ?

Recall that when Trump appeared without a mask you donned yours in your living room.

And when he appeared with a mask you donned two.

Ukraine is so winning that Ukrainian moms are escaping with their teenagers because they don’t want their children to be sent to the frontlines …

Sanctions have been so devastating that Russia has recently surpassed Japan to become the fourth largest economy in the world by GDP PPP.

Ukraine conducts a long-range drone attack on a 400-foot-tall skyscraper in Kazan, the fifth-largest city in Russia. The city is 540 miles east of Moscow and over 600 miles from Ukraine's border. The tower was an "elite" residential building. Kazan is in Tatarstan Province, which has extensive oil resources.

As long as the Russian people are willing to eat worn-out artillery barrels and tanks, there shouldn't be a problem. At some point, they'll want to eat more traditional fare. The Japanese can pretty much eat whatever they feel like eating. I'm sure the Japanese would not trade places with the Russians for all the tea in China.

Ukraine gets another financial donation from Russia to help them fight the War in Ukraine. This donation is courtesy of Russian seized assets in Europe, and could be worth up to $282 billion.

and this is why Assad is under house arrest, his assets being held, and his wife wanting to gtf out of Russia. Putin is going to nationalize his gold and wealth as a price for asylum and there is nothing Assad can do about it..lol

if we are reading bout it here, it has been happening for a period in the field..is this the beginning of the end for putin

Russian commanders resist Putin's orders -- refuse to send troops across Dnipro River

Russian commanders reportedly refuse to send their troops for a planned offensive across the Dnipro River. Putin's troops are gathering on the Dnipro's left bank, preparing for a potential crossing after accusations that the Russian leader has crossed red lines.

Intelligence suggests that around 2,000 assault troops and approximately 300 speedboats have been assembled in the Kherson region. Yet, many high-ranking officers view the proposed attack as a death sentence and are hesitant to deploy their soldiers and resources, according to the ATESH partisan group.
    ........................................

The partisans also noted that Russian units in Crimea were deliberately destroying their boats to avoid being dispatched to Kherson for the offensive.

ATESH, a military partisan movement formed by Ukrainians and Crimean Tatars in response to the Russian invasion, is active in Ukraine's occupied territories and Russia. The group reported an uptick in Russian troop suicides in Kherson before a planned attack.

have to wonder if that was a targeted attack. not typical to hit a high rise. would be interesting to know who owns units in the top of that building or who owns the building itself.

looks like they scored another hit on a familiar target. it would appear that russia has no air defenses

Putin vows revenge after Russian oil field blown up in 'massive' drone strike

Vladimir Putin has promised ‘further destruction’ of Ukraine after a Russian oil field was destroyed by a ‘massive’ drone strike overnight.

Video footage of the strike shows the oil field erupting in an enormous explosion after the drone attack, lighting up the sky with apocalyptic yellow and orange as Russian air defences seek to defend the strategic depot.
    ......................
The giant oil depot has been targeted at least three times previously, including a successful strike one week ago which saw a fire burn for several days.

Separate Ukrainian strikes recently have homed in on supply bases for the Druzhba pipeline which is key to oil supplies for Hungary and Slovakia, both of which have opposed military aid and NATO membership for Ukraine.

It's only logical for Ukraine to send air defense crews to the army. Ukraine has won the naval war with Russia (without having a navy). They have now pretty much won the battle for air supremacy, other than occasional missile strikes. They don't need as many air defense crews as they used to. If they convert air defense crews to army units, they can defeat Russia that much faster. Russia's economy is imploding, Ukraine still has troops in Kursk months after the initial invasion, and Russia's troops are being annihilated in exchange for small chunks of land. I don't know why anyone would complain that the war is going a little too well for the good guys (that's Ukraine, for those of us who are not mentally disabled or morally deficient).

I lost country early of Russian ships, that were reported sunk, that were photographed afloat the following day. I guess the Russians have been launching all those cruise missiles from donated pontoon boats.

Every time I purchase something there are warnings like,,, don’t stick your tongue in the light socket, don’t swallow rat poison, don’t use your charcoal grill inside the home, don’t touch hot burners, etc., etc., etc. We learned from doing stupid stuff and seeing others doing stupid stuff, and the results. It’s called common sense.

Putin reminds me of the type of person those warnings are for. Putin is an ignorant dumb ass. The world knows it and is rooting for the underdog. Only other dumb asses are rooting for Putin and Russia.
