Play-Off Game Thread: #12 Clemson at #5 Texas -- December 21, 2024 -- 4 PM [TNT]

Does anyone like this new format? Just adds teams that shouldn’t be there

 

The format is good. The selections aren’t

 

It’s not the 12 best teams. This is an invitational.

The playoff committee should be embarrassed about this.

 

Maybe 8 teams would have been better?

So far we've seen three unworthy teams that have no business being in the playoffs. Yay, and you know how they’ll "fix" that? They will simply add MORE unworthy teams to the "new and improved" playoff games the first chance they get.

 

These refs are doing their "job" of keeping it close...

 

So far... these home playoff games seem like any other in-season games to me. They just don't feel special.

 

I’d even think 6 would be fine. To be honest I liked the BCS better

The ACC has said all year the SEC's defenses are overrated and Clemson is proving that late in the game. Dabo outcoaching Sark too. Texas came in with all sorts of defensive stats like 4 passing TDs all year, just 17 points in the 1st quarter, no points in 6 weeks in the 4th quarter, etc, and Clemson is embarrassing them. Klub has 3 TDs passing in the this game so far.

 

Clemson at least keeping it close

 

Scoring 24 (and being down 14 as of this writing) is in no way embarrassing anyone.

 

Told you all that Texas running backs have speed.

 

Gotta love that Texas ground game though.....until then I though Sark gave up on it.
