Agree, the committee has to make some changes to how teams get selected. Hopefully strength of schedule gets more love. How about we stop ranking teams so early. Rank teams starting 10/1

 

If team A is a seven point favorite against team B, why is team B in the playoffs and team a is sitting at home?

 

Since joining the SEC in 2012, we have played at ATM in 12,20,22,and now 25. Uga has yet to visit ATM.

 

Rarely have the Gators had an easy schedule especially the SEC part. For years we played Auburn and Georgia back to back and that's when Auburn was a top tier team. Throw in the annual Miami and FSU games.

 

Had to look up LIU and found it in Long Island NY. It's a FCS team. We are getting 2 breaks at the beginning.

 

Thought we were supposed to have more rotation so players could play all conference teams.

 

We will see how bad the SEC is screwing us in '26.
The SEC teams are the same as last year except flip the home and away. So in '26 we should get the following:
ARky, Oklahom, Vandy, S Car., Bama, Auburn, Mizzou and then the rivalry with UGAG I suppose.
If that doesn't happen, then they have it in for us.

 

Who in the heck agrees to this schedule? The AD? If so, fire him (it) !

Before we play fsu, we should NOT be playing a mega rival, as in UT. It should be Miss St. Does Uga or Bama play a mega rival before another mega rival? Look at Bama's, are they playing Texas or Georgia the week before Auburn?

This is crappy. In addition, who is the moron that schedules in state rivals galore 2 years in a row? 2024 it was fsu, miami and ucf. 2025 it is fsu miami and usf. No play fsu and one of the others "once in a while", but not doubled up. We get one "cup cake"...one.

I see 4 tough road games versus the 2 we had this year. I see 2 tough home games versus the 4 we had this year. All comes down to DJ's growth as a QB, for the most part. But damn..

 

This schedule isn't kind, but comparatively, our schedule was kind this year with the same opponents, because we had most of the tough ones at home. I really hope that isn't the excuse next year or that there are no excuses needed.

 

If I remember correctly, we had to play Tennessee one year in December back when SOS was coach, because the game had been rescheduled due to a hurricane. And we lost the game partly because Earnest Graham couldn't play, thanks to Darnell Dockett. I'm not sure but I think that loss cost us a SEC championship, thanks to the weather and Dockett.

 

You are correct because of 9/11.

We also had to play TN in December in 2020 up in Knox. I got to go to that game and it was cold as heck.

 

That's right, 9/11. I guess the year must have been 2001.

 

That 2020 year game against AT A&M was total BS, should have been a home game. We never had them on our schedule that year. We had a cupcake schedule lined up for that year, and FSU sucked too. A&M was NOT on the schedule and LSU was like our 3 game when they had several key injuries...

We had a really good team that year, but got screwed by Sankey and the schedule makers. If we go into that Bama game undefeated and lose by 6 points, we still get into the playoffs.

That night LSU game was just forth DUMB. And the shoe toss in the fog lost us that game. We should have won that game, but against that game was scheduled early in the season when they were still injured and then rescheduled for late in the year, at night. Losing that game took the life out of that team.

Man... we have been getting screwed by Sankey and the SEC for a long time.
