I prefer to get in my river boat and go primitive, same site on Escambia my dad made in the 60's. Bream fish all day and catch flatheads at night. Any camping will do though. We do Ft Pickens for Blue Angels for five days every November

Ok, having grown up with Tarponbro in the same idyllic neighborhood, I feel duty bound to correct one thing he said:Any access he had to anyone’s dock was not necessarily granted, he just occupied them like Wall Street. Of course, he drug me onto them as well under the guise he was teaching me about fishing and such. He truly loved it and showed me a lot of stuff.

Charlie is from Pensacola. I think he lives there now. He's might still be a charter captain and has been well known in Pensacola since he was a boy.

You guys should start a fishing forum, in no time, it would be bigger than Swamp Gas but never as big as The Pub with the various photos but that’s ok. I would do one about music/audio but I’d have to learn how to post images and that is problematic.

I’d participate in both. My audio expertise is in the 12v arena though. Similar goals in some cases, but different equipment and a car is a tough environment to create audiophile acceptable sound.

You are so right about that! I think young people confuse pumping bass with accurate sound. I did in my youth.

Im lucky to come from a long line of rednecks that hunt and fish. Several of my griends are boat captains now and our parents said nothing would ever come fro drinking beer, surfing and fishing. Another of my friends has a very successful surfshp, Waterboys. We showed those codgers.

Crappie fishing on the river is relaxing , but offshore fishing is exhausting
