I have to disagree with you about the rotation. At the beginning of the season, both sides of the ball rotated players with seemingly no rhyme or reason. You would see a guy play great during a series, and the next series he is on the bench. Mertz would heat up and lead a TD drive, then spend the next series on the bench. DJ would come in and lead a TD drive on his one series, and then go back to the bench.

This staff seems to be in love with rotating players with no sense for staying with the “hot hand”, so to speak. That did change somewhat towards the end of the season, but was that due to a change in philosophy or injuries forcing the hand of the coaches. When you are playing great football and get pulled anyway so someone else can get in who isn’t performing the same level, I can see that being very frustrating to a player.

Rumors have a hand in it but they could have shut that down and acted in a more mature and professional manner while seeking a transfer. In my opinion people are hammering the Pyburns because they are following the same playbook as Princeley and Etienne. People weren't happy when Hopper, APR, McLellan and others left but those guys didn't take shots on the way out or have significant back and forths on social media.

There are also a handful of schools that if a Gator chooses crosses a line with fans. Not that fans should dictate a person's choices or anything but they are going to be passionate about "being wronged" just as they were as supportive fans when they wore the orange and blue. LSU Is one of those.

It worked out on the O-Line and LB when a player went down, the next man up played well. I don't remember as much rotation at CB until a guy got hurt.

I get it though. What I don't like is the wholesale changes within a drive. Leave the damn defensive guys out there. They can play 3 plays in a row.

Pyburn does not need to be there on third down and 15. He just isn't a three down player. We have better players for that scenario.

Based on limited knowledge, gained mostly from this site, my perception is he had a somewhat inflated opinion of his ability and worth. Not really surprising for an athlete of his caliber, probably true for the majority. In the course of trying to leverage a bigger payday he was given truth that he did not take well and he reacted poorly and said and did things he likely regrets. But again like many once he staked a position he could not bury his pride.
I may be way off base but just my opinion ( everyone has one just like…) based on intuition and having lived a few years making my own share of poor choices

Beside him going to Georgia, one thing that I think made ETN worse was that during his last season here, his brother and mama were also complaining about the lack of playing time.

Which I’ll never understand. He took half the snaps even dealing with an injury throughout the year. If he made any effort at all to block, he likely would have played even more than he did.

Can’t be a Gator if you leave of your own choosing to play elsewhere. You decided to leave and that’s when you stopped being a Gator.

Dead on-and the pros don't(for the most part) rotate players. So it looks likely(to me anyway) that it was about the draft and from that perspective $
