I can understand that if youre job is pro surfer or musiciam etc. some peoples choice of how they choose to soend their time confounds me.

 

If they are passionate about it and it brings them joy I don’t see how it confounds you.

 

I cant fathom being passionate about many things.

Lol, I don’t even do much dentistry these days. I have associates that do the work. I mainly just manage and handle some difficult cases here and there.

 

In another post, you already said you looking forward to giving dentistry up.

Agree. It is important to do certain activities to stay mentally alert. It’s also important to stay active as we age, to the extent one can. For those people that didn’t exercise much, just start slow and walk 3 days a week and increase the duration as needed. I think one might find this turns into a routine that you don’t want to miss. I find walking while listening to music, podcast, book, etc helps the walk dramatically. Serius XM has a ton of good stuff to choose from including many games of many types and including a lot of Gator games. $18 per month is a small amount to pay to improve your health.

I’m just guessing you may be passionate about football, other sports, Gator athletics, posting on certain forums, etc.

 

Me too but this reminds me of someone asking me why I worked for a certain company. I said, “Because I have hungry mouths to feed.”

 

YouTube Premium is another good value play to make the cardio/walks more enjoyable.

Sports, music, camping, traveling. Work, nope

 

I get the necessity, just not having piles of money and continuing. I get that coaches coach because they like it, same as musicians that no longer need money. Id still go tuna fishing no matter how much money i had. I have to work to go these days. If only i didnt have to work, id never go again.

 

Some of us are just not driven to amassing great wealth and things; keeping up with the Jones is a phenomenon that I never aspired too. When I drove home from my last day at work, it was like the last day of school X 100.

 

Same here except for camping, too much work!
I’d add reading, hiking, audio, woodworking to my passions list. I’m torn between sports and music as my favorite.

 

I like to camp for at leadt 3-4 days at a time. Anything less, too much work. If i get it together, im sitting around for days. I dont do the hiking, i work too hard to need exercise.
