    The idea of a small band of destroyers and destroyer escorts, plus a couple of jeep carriers taking on a Jap task force led by The Yamato, and forcing them to turn tail and run, would be absurd if it hadn't actually happened. The sacrifice and devotion to duty those young sailors displayed that day will never be bested. May God be ever mindful of them as they remain on station in the eternal deep.
