Wow, you're really gonna double down on he should have been fired after what happened to finish off the regular season and the string of recruiting flips that moved our class up 40 places? Do you like living in a country blues song?:emoji_unamused:

    LOL!

Apparently, you did not read the article, because Wunderlich does not agree with your take about luck, nor do I. I'm not pretending to have a firm grasp on what happened in 2024, but something doesn't add up; and that's his point. I find his comment about Pyburn became a starter, and DJ also took on a bigger role about the same time. Why were certain players involved early on who clearly should not have had so much playing time? I don't know the answer, but it remains a concern. Most on this forum know I was calling for everyone to remain positive last summer. I did not change my tune until after a second string qb for TAMU embarrassed us again! Frankly, I am glad we are not involved in another coaching search for obvious reasons. Things are looking up--at least I hope I'm right--but we will only know if winning is the tradition next year. Another point David made was the players asking the coaches to simplify the defense, which clearly contributed to better defensive performance. That story is well-documented by other sportswriters, so that's not an unfounded rumor. Why did the players have to ask the coaches for that? I have cheered for everything Gators since the late 50's. With that said, I am only too painfully aware of when something causes me to ask, "What the heck?" The title of this post implies that some unfairly piled on BN. I agree that the naysayers were too negative, but they did have some legitimate issues with coaching and playcalling. To suggest otherwise is as off as they have been!

I may have skimmed over the article a bit! I can agree with that, some dissatisfaction was definitely warranted but the negativity was way out of line.
