Gators are just not as quick to the ball as Stanford. Need to pick up on serve receive as well - we are making setting difficult with bad passes.

Stanford got a very nice call for themselves there..honestly though they are much better with OH then we are. They are taller and quicker there. Besides Kennedy they all are better then our girls out there. Undersized group we have...

I am not an expert at all at this sport, but you saw a noticeable difference in certain spots and it allowed them to concentrate on KM more....We need to get more size on the outside to help

We have some great players, some of them are not fully healthy, but defensive positioning continues to be an issue for Mary’s teams. Maybe time to bring in a new assistant with a different defensive scheme?

Other than the year we got to the Final in 2017 and lost to Nebraska we have always been undersized. Wise just doesn't typically land the athletic tall players. Don't think we will see a Final anytime soon.

I wonder why Stuckey wasn’t in at the end. Anyone know why? I had the sound down and don’t know if the announcers said anything.

We had the best player, Stanford had the best team. I thought our ladies played very well overall. But their defense was better and they had more versatility in their offense. For once the opponent had twice as many service faults than us, but we had ZERO aces. We used a ton more soft and short serves than normal, but credit their defense. A few points here and there and we could have won. We actually made it a closer match than I thought we would. They took advantage of a lot of open spots is our backcourt and we couldn't stop that one girl's devastating slide shot. I love watching our volleyball team and am very interested to see what happens in the offseason with portal movement in and out. Gooo Gators!

    Good assessment.
We will do well in the portal. The nucleus of this team will remain and the additions will be spectacular. The injuries that even continued to this last game should hopefully be behind us.

The way I see it after 2 seasons now, if Kira Hutson and Madi Gravlee can't physically make a go of it, it would be the wise move to place them on medical scholarships to make room for portal players to come in and play immediately.

The only player UF signed out of high school on early signing day was DeAndre "Dee" McMillian, a terrific 6'3" MB with international experience, should be coming in as the equivalent of a sophomore in talent and experience. With Jaela Auguste, Amaya Thomas, and Alec Rothe playing MB/ROH, pretty much failed at LOH, the Gators should be fine in the middle even if Gabby Essix can't make a comeback from her leg injury.

JMO, UF is in need of two OHs in the 6'3" range to go with Lauren Harden presuming Hutson and Gravlee who are both listed as OHs on the roster are no goes.

As you have inside information, maybe you can be a little less cryptic on the injuries front.

BTW, I like Bella Lee to contribute a lot in 2025. The few times Bella played she was a spark plug who seemed to dig balls others not named Elli McKissock don't seem to be able to get to.

Sounds like they put up a good fight against a very good team. Nothing to be ashamed of!
