    ORLANDO, Fla. - President-elect Donald Trump has announced the appointment of Orlando attorney Dan Newlin as the next U.S. ambassador to Colombia.

    Newlin, a former Orange County Sheriff’s Office detective with a multi-year law enforcement career, was praised by Trump for his blend of crime-fighting expertise and business acumen.

    "With his Law Enforcement expertise enabling him to navigate complex international issues, and his business insights fostering economic partnerships, Newlin stands as a powerful advocate for U.S. interests, and a Champion for strengthening ties, and making a difference in the World," Trump wrote in a post on Truth Social. "Dan will do a great job!"

    Does Kimberly speak Greek? Does Dan speak Spanish? Typically ambassadors have a handle on the language

    Dan has a place in Columbia, and I'm sure he knows enough Spanish to haggle with prostitutes and buy coke

    Ambassadors are gifts to the biggest donors and campaign contributors, pretty much with every president. At least that’s the impression I have.

    I met Dan many years ago when his then stepson QB'ed the high school football team I was the announcer for. We actually spent abut 45 minutes just shootin' the bull prior to a home game and I found him the be a very learned and forthright man.

    Look PI attorneys, all you have to do is give Trump $1,000,000 and conservatives suddenly like you and even call you "learned" and "forthright", not ambulance chasing parasites.

    I am sure he has made Florida insurance rates higher so he has made the commission's higher for me. Also not sure any local tv stations would be in business without his ad money.
