I agree, but the problem is Urban recruited the supporting staff; Mullet will never be able to recruit that well.
My assumption would be he doesn't want a pressure cooker anymore and would want a gig where he can focus on his strengths as a gameday coach and doesn't have to work as hard on the stuff the other 350 days a year he doesn't like as much. I would be under the impression recruiting in that conference is fairly level so he can just take whoever he can get and then coach 'em up and people will be happy with a winning record.
Timing is sus. I can't help but wonder if he waited for TG to find work before inking a deal. (I also wonder if Vegas has a line out on finger wars. )
The fact that he was saying that into the cleavage between two boobs makes it way easier to understand
UNLV seems like a low pressure job and below miss St. Maybe if he is successful he will leverage it into a bigger job as Barry Odom did.
He will find his way back into P4 I bet you. UNLV probably not demanding a ton of results as far as double digit win seasons etc. Just be in it for the conference and maybe try to get to the CFP if they win their conference. Everyone dogs him for recruiting, but now with NIL and rev sharing etc, he might not have to worry about that part. Could end up like FAU with Kiffin where he was only recruiting the portal. Yall forget that this dude can scheme up some offense. Get him some speed and an athletic quarterback and he can make some noise.
I never listened to him. All I did was this: Kind of glad he is moving on. Buying so many TVs during the fall was getting EXPENSIVE!
