Who will hit the portal?

I still believe the conspiracy theory that urban knew he wasn’t going there and set that up

 

I think it was likely just kids being kids.

 

I think many may be surprised about our WR room next year. There are many who are standing in line (from what I understand).

 

I think we have several good ones on campus now. Do you mean portal acquisitions? Source?

Sometimes you just gotta drop the kids off at the portal.

 

Looks to me like we are almost done having guys hit the portal for now. We are still over a RB and an OL but most positions are short by one scholarship player compared to our normal levels. You never know about any surprises but hopefully this is a slow month the rest of the way as far as losing names. Anyone else hearing any rumblings.

 

I think we have a good bit more, and some we don't like. But we should be well positioned to replace even the quality losses

 

I don't know if exit interviews or negotiations are still going on but our bowl schedule adds time pressure. Surely we'll have some draft testing going on.

 

Oh sure we will always lose some to the draft and those are some of our best, not counting any seniors. I'm referring to the other end of the talent pool of guys who have entered the portal or looking for a better opportunity to prove themselves. I'm hoping we don't get many more surprises and we can start narrowing in on our best chances in the portal to fit our needs for next year.

 

I hope we are at a point where guys we want to keep, we will keep.

I wonder if some players come here just so they can have the Florida name on their resume when they go to the portal.

 

Never heard of him. I wish the portal powers to be would say the portal is for scholarship players only.

Some kids just really wanted to go to UF and the pwo program is a good way to get your foot in the door. Once they get there, they realize the pwo life is tough. They’re generally taking real classes with less help and have to put in the same amount of work on the team as all the scholly guys. It’s trying and can really test your gut.

Some kids realize the whole thing is over their head and just want to go somewhere life is easier. Some kids realize they actually want to play and opt to go somewhere that seeing the field is more likely.

 

Their eligibility clock counts just like the scholly guys. If they’re leaving and seeking to join another team, this is how you have to do it.

I don’t know why we need a big “breaking news” announcement for every single player that enters though. Some stuff is just news.
