Frost Back to UCF [Update Post #18]

He should do well again at UCF, though Nebraska got Frost bitten.

Josh Heupel was the brains behind Frost. The sequel is never as good as the original.

 

Given Heupels success at UT, maybe true, but UCF regressed significantly after Frost left.

 

I dont believe Heupel ever coached under Frost. Frost was before him and coached an offense which was number 1 in NCAA scoring at about 48 ppg if I remember correctly. Frost also coached Oregon when Mariotta had his run and the Ducks were top 6 in Offense every year under him. There is a reason many of us wanted him here when we were looking to hire. He also took over an 0-12 team under Oleary and had 13-0 in two years which is the quick process fans seem to like.

 

You’re right, my bad. Heupel was the OC at Missouri. Regardless, I don’t think that this is a good move.

Frost has hired Cade Bell OC from Pitt...and the son of Kerwin Bell. Even a great offensive mind hires an offensive coordinator.
