    ncg8or explained it.

On Walker, I remember him from recruiting and thought he was kicking butt at UCF. I've learned he was OK as a Fr. and missed this year with a knee injury. So, he'd be good to add to the current group, but he wouldn't replace Banks or Lyons.

Is that the one that his mom worked at UCF or something?

I don't remember that. I do remember a lot of CBN hate for getting beat out by UCF for him, lol.

    Yeah, that sounds right.

We're putting a lot of eggs in the Lyons basket if we're counting on him to start next year, he had flashes last year but was no Banks or Jackson.

Definitely need a DT or two in the portal.

Dane Key, UK WR, is entering the portal. He's definitely a type of WR that UF can use.

A must, .......considering Wilson is staying and VBIII is coming, I would say the most important portal additions will be for the interior defensive line. Still need to get that outside deep ball help, but I'm thinking the D Line is now the most important spot(s).

Yep. Priority for sure. I’m not too worried about WR as there’s a lot of talent in the portal at that position.

I think you and I would agree that getting JS to leave Ohio State for Gainesville would be the creme de-la creme, at any position!
Man, I wonder if it's even a consideration for him.

Des seemed to become more of a force as the season went on. It felt like he was playing more snaps per game, too. Even my wife said when she heard it was his last year, "I'm going to miss that big f*r." She doesn't talk like that, so, it cracked me up.

Im reminded of the year 2000 when we had a beast of a d line that included juniors Gerard Warren and Alex Brown. Warren left for the draft as one would expect, but Brown spurned the NFL saying, “I want to get one of those rings.” Sadly, the 2001 Gators came up a little short on the rings, but I always remember Brown turning away the money to come back.

I'll take this opportunity to reiterate my support that Desmond Watson should be hailed as a Gator hero. No ordinary man of that size could even make it through an off season and fall camp. And he fought every time he was on the field. He's a warrior and I have great admiration for his fortitude and heart. He made the team better and helped those around him.

Even if so, it couldn’t have rivaled NFL money, or staying wouldn’t have been so rare.

Saw that Boardingham is portal-bound. Wonder why? Always thought he was a little too attached to the west coast to survive here, so maybe that's it.

Saw his snaps getting eaten up by others. Also some speculation that he wanted to be used more as a receiver and we don’t really have a spot for him there.
