It’s gonna be lit when we display no lessons learned from Operation Wetback and watch food prices again soar, leading to inflation and major economic damage. Again.

I’m just glad I have enough land where I can offset with stuff I grow, can, and preserve at home.

Great news. I can't wait for the posts when the grocery stores start locking tomatoes in cabinets and you have to get an associate to retrieve them for you.

I'm sure Trump has an effective plan to replace all those people removed from the workforce. He was great on The Apprentice, after all.

This will 100% happen on right wing media and be parroted on this site.

I’m sooooooo glad I’m a garden nerd and stockpiled stuff to offset costs. I also hunt. I guess I’m a bad libtard.

I am unaware of any such mess. Care to elaborate without shooting from the hip, actual FACTS?

Start with strengthening the border and deport violent felons and repeat offenders. That alone will be a lofty goal. There will not be mass deportations

This is reasonable and the resources that it will require are immense. I fear, given the people involved, it will turn into a massive mess.

Only if the Republicans finally agree to funding more judges to hear asylum cases. There's been a shortage and the backlog of cases is almost a decade long now because Congress won't pass an immigration nill

Why would you assume that people with a criminal conviction don't pick lettuce? Are you assuming that everybody with a criminal conviction is a career criminal rather than just somebody who did something illegal and got caught? What a weird assumption. I'd assume that a higher percentage of people with a criminal conviction are doing undesirable jobs like picking lettuce.

personally I agree with starting with the felons but believe you have to go further and deport anyone who is here illegally

Because your question is predicated on a false assumption.

That people with criminal convictions don't take jobs like picking lettuce when that is precisely the type of job that many people with convictions take. But, to answer your question, I don't think that the 77K on that list for "traffic offenses" or the 52K on that list for "immigration" should be deported purely based on that. Not to mention the 155 for "gambling" or the 1,367 for "liquor."
