UCF decommit 3* TE, ON3 has him at 90% to UF. Seems like I saw him mentioned here the other day, but can't find it now. He any good?
He's 6'4"/235 and a high 3-star athlete out of Cincinnati, Ohio. He is bigger than the kid who left the class to play WR at FSU and is more of the hybrid TE UF was looking for. Yesterday, he was down to UF or Mizzou. Gus Malzahn thought enough of him to bring him into the UCF class. I have no idea where he stands today.
90 percent? That is fine. If they had said "98 percent" then I would have said "not coming." UF gallows humor, you gotta love it!
I mentioned him the other day, UF parted with gelsey so they could focus on Piening, who wants to be a TE.
It was a mutual parting of ways. He wanted to be a WR at his current size which is what he plays in HS, and that's where FSU wants him, UF wanted him to add about 20 lbs and become a hybrid TE. He preferred to stay at WR so hours before his decision it was reported that UF had parted ways.
He visited 6/21, for an official... ONsomenumber, has quoted him saying he and Callaway have a great relationship and Callaway never stopped recruiting him after the UCF commitment. We want 2 TE this year. Go Gators!!
Piening signed with UCF per their official website. He signed just before the official deadline in the early period on Friday.
We have 8(1 PWO) TEs on the roster and an incoming Freshman TE making it 9. We have 9 scholarship WRs. We didn't need another TE that was going to UCF.
Boardingham gone and most of those aren’t seeing the field. We really got 3…Livingston, Amir and Hansen.
ET, just posted an interesting article on our personnel sets with the 11 and 12 personnel sets in particular, and how the Gators fare in different ways using each one. It's an interesting read if you want to know more about the numbers (statistics) behind those two formations.
