I thought CNN was already ahead of MSNBC . Wasn't MSNBC originally started by Micro Soft?

Damn. If they go down, one of MAGA's favorite outrage angling spots will disappear. What then? Hire outrage angling charter captains?

Yep, Maddow is unwatchable as she takes an eternity to get to the point. Joe will never stfu ( why does he even have guests on? he just blathers incessantly), the rest beat the remains of the dead horses. Getting news from a talking head on a screen is passe when you can find multiple sources on line from all over the world.

To my knowledge, FOX has never had a moment like this:

"Start your tape right now, because I'm about to tell you the truth. And f-you if you can't handle the truth. This version of Biden intellectually, analytically, is the best Biden ever. Not a close second. And I've known him for years. The Brzezinskis have known him for 50 years. If it weren't the truth, I wouldn't say it."

Is it really, though? Not to an adult, right?

I've got better, and I'm seeing a greenlight to go ahead and use them. "Rapey Trumputin", "Rapey Don" and "Donald the Rapist", here we come. That's the message we're getting, right?

Listening to Joy Reid attribute Kamala Harris's defeat to the "fact" that Americans won't vote for a woman of color is getting very old. I would add that no matter how bad MSNBC has become the network has never had to agree to pay $787 million to settle a defamation lawsuit. While it may be regurgitating the same tired narratives over and over MSNBC is still not a purveyor of fake news like the network from which Trump is drawing nominees for positions in his cabinet.

Dead media. Everyone will move to open format podcasts and YouTube. Death by 1,000 podcasts with hit or miss content and zero journalistic integrity. Everyone is for sale.

I missed Bills obsession with compartmentalized ratings. Meanwhile here are the primetime ratings for November News programs:

    ABC 7.3M
    NBC 5.8M
    CBS 4.5M
    Fox 3M
    MSNBC 1M
    CNN .7M

FOX can actually afford to pay a $787 million suit, because they have viewers. A $787 million settlement by MSNBC would most likely place them into an immediate bankruptcy.

If you already know what they're going to say before they say it, what's the point in watching? I cannot even comprehend the mind that watches FOX or MSNBC.

In other words you're saying that Fox News considers paying large settlements in defamation cases a cost of doing business, that purveying fake news is an integral part of its business plan and that for the network the truth is irrelevant as long as it gives its viewers what they want. Got it.
