Chuba fumbles when the Panthers were entering FG range for the win. C'mon Bucs . . . go get a score.

Trask needs to get the F out of Tampa. Mayfield is not going anywhere.

Bucs luck out and win in overtime.

Sidenote- didn't realize Bryce young was so short. He had a good game for Carolina today tho.

Gritty win. Bucs move into first place tie, but ATL owns the tiebreaker.

Agree. He doesn’t have anywhere to go even if he wanted out. Bolles had to play it safe. He didn’t have anyroom to build the future. The Bucs will be slightly above average for a long time.

If Trask was being courted by another team who wanted him as a starter, like Green Bay did with Favre when Favre was backup in Atlanta, then I could see him leaving Tampa. But I don't see that happening. Starting QB's get hurt, and not infrequently. Mayfield is tough, but he's not invincible. He's also tends to be a bit reckless.

I suspect Trask will have his opportunity to start for the Bucs at some time in the future. Until then, he can keep his body uninjured and collect a nice salary.

I know he's a competitor and wants to play. But there are no guaranteed starting jobs out there for him, and being a backup in Tampa is as good as being a backup elsewhere, at least for now.

As a Panthers fan, I’m proud of the job Bryce Young has done over the last couple of weeks.

He will be a legit starter in the NFL.

He’s faced a lot of negativity and naysayers but he seems to slowly be finding his way. Good for him.

There is no better job in the NFL than the backup QB.

Agree. I know these guys are competitive and want to play. But you can have a long career, you get paid handsomely and your body doesn't get destroyed. Just ask Ty Detmer and Shane Matthews, among others.
