25 Class portal window

    Since we are expected to go heavy in the portal, should these 25 portal windows have their own thread? Delete if unnecessary.
    IMO we will need atleast:

    2x DTs
    1-2 WR depending on if it’s elite talent
    A tackle or two depending on if barber stays
    Elite edge? McCray might fill that spot tho
    Safety help? I assume Asa is gone

    what is everybody thinking we will need? These next couple months could be wild if we are able to continue the momentum.

    Some thoughts on this.

    is Charles Lester really going to waste away at FSU?

    does Jerimiah smith look around or is staying with hartline that important to him?

    Keon Keeley really gonna waste away at Bama?

    a lot of talent could be out there and we are red hot at the right time….

    Those are the big portal needs. Burke's play shows how dire the need is at receiver. Safety (along with another OT) is the huge whiff so far in high school recruiting. Big money to flip a can't-miss safety from high school is more important than flipping Thomas imho.

    I like it but it’s gotta be hard for coaches right now - they don’t know who is all available. Do they got all out to get him and then maybe somebody like Caleb downs enters the portal? Then what?

    just using downs as an example of talent disparity, not implying at all he will or we would get him lol

    Have no idea what weight he is at but he was slender for safety. I thought he saw himself as cb, and I'm sure we would accommodate that.

    Safety is of the utmost importance. Need another Badger type pickup as well. I don't know if Trey Wilson is looking around, but we might need 2 WRs out of the portal.

    We need 2 even if Tre is with us and is his freshman self. Tounkara looks like a Badger clone but is 2 years from doing what Badger has done this year. Badger and Dike have been outstanding for us and need replacements that aren't being developed on the roster. Its hard to say if Mizell will ever be what Dike is now. We will need Brown to be ready from day 1.

    So what are you folks thinking? I'm inclined to believe the last of the "flippers" may be calling it tomorrow instead of waiting for Wednesday. I sure am hoping for another couple of anouncements by tomorrow (Or Wed.) Even if we get none, it's really been an impressive last month for UF recruiting.

    I would love to get that player in the portal. He should be thinking about his future. He could get lost in OSUs receiving corps. Here... he could be the feature receiver.
