Yeah, given that it will inevitably end in a scuffle, that sort of thing should be reserved for special moments at best, none at all at worst. Florida just beat a 2 win team. Michigan beat arguably the best team in the country in Ohio State. It’s a little different. That said, FSU shouldn’t take our turf either. I’m also not sure I like the idea that certain celebrations should be banned just because it offends the other team to the point they get violent.
I was worried about it when I saw the flag on the sideline, especially after OSU got upset about Meatchickin’s flag plant earlier. Don’t have a big problem with it, though. Kinda glad to see Norvellllllllll get whiney. Not sure he even shook hands with BN.
No he wouldn't. He didn't do anything last year when they pulled up our turf and ran around with our Gator head.
Seriously Norvell was calling timeouts when it was pretty much over, glad we scored on that drive. He just game us time to increase the scoring margin!
"He was an ass last year so we were an ass this year" is an odd argument. For me, this is like Richt and storming the field. Huge fight, people can get hurt. Players can get tossed from bowl game. Not worth it.
We have become so soft that every little thing upsets us. Plant the flag !! It is ok for the semis ti tear up sod on our home turf but not for us to plant our flag.. Get over it and enjoy the win.
NorveLLLLLLLLLL is the toughest 2-10 coach in history. Maybe he should worry more about his shitty team and coaching so the other team doesn’t plant a flag on his home field.
Well back to the game. D line played great, running game looked good for the most part and FSU was even worse than I thought.
The fight is exactly 60 minutes long and not another second. Once the game is over, shake their hand and tell them good game.
I do believe the flag negated one. They posted an incorrect stat stating that this was the most sacks by Florida in this rivalry since late '90's early '00's I can't remember what the year was exactly. The real answer was 2019 when the Gators recorded 10 vs FSU, 10 vs scUM and 9 vs UVA making it 29 sacks against three ACC opponents on the season.
Well, we avoided Rivalry upset day and finished 7-5, snapping the 3 year streak of losing seasons AND got FSU their first double digit losing season since before Nixon resigned.
Norvell didn't have that same energy when his players were digging up sod at the Swamp. Fk him and FSU
