That’s ok, someone will hammer Ga in the playoff. No OT if that PI wasn’t called because it didn’t occur.
That freaking local ABC News people decided to split screen a nothing rocket launch during the game, in the 8th overtime, with the small screen on the game... major freaking clowns...
What a thrilling game - all so UGA can now afford to lose next week and still make the playoffs with 3 losses. Somewhere- probably at Spurrier’s Grill - Steve is pondering the misfortune of not having any of his Gator teams playing in today’s college football environment.
Lol Kirby just sends blitz after blitz from the end zone and Tech does nothing. No QB rollouts or outside option runs or anything to get the ball from behind the center. Just sits right straight in the shotgun and gets blown up time after time. Kirby was probably laughing each time.
The sweep was there when they tried to do the QB run, drove me crazy GT didn't go back to that. Oh well, UGA isn't close to what they were the last few years. They only play better teams from here on out and won't be able to get away with that kind of effort again.
I’ve said this years’ team is a step back. Luckily, there is NO team this year that instills fear. Not sure Indiana, Penn State, Notre Dame, Miami, SMU are “better teams.” Tech beat #4 Miami. Oregon could have lost to…Wisconsin. Ohio State? Barely beat Penn State. Texas? Already beat ‘em. Florida? Could have lost that one if Lagway stayed healthy. Now more than previous years it’s an “any given Saturday” league.
If our game at FSU is anything like this, I may not watch, probably record for later. I'm afraid my heart can't take the stress. My heart was thumping the whole time in the 4th quarter and in all of the OTs.
My wife couldn't take it any more and went to bed! The coaches embrace at the end was something else. GA tech's coach was with Kirby. He left to coach them. Both teams left it all on the field. But tech should have won that thing. As posters have mentioned. Running up the middle will only work if you counter it with something else on occasion. They didn't. Checkmate. Tech was playing their waterboys at the end. Georgia won the game. But Tech showed they are warriors beyond anyone's expectations. That Athens crowd probably had some loads in their shorts. Dawgfanfromalabam-if you have health issues, that game might have shortened your lifespan... Go Gators.
I bet you dollars to donuts that hit that caused the fumble to set up the last Georgia score in regulation would have been called targeting if it was us who did it.
I agree Dawg. No one team stands out as an absolute dominating team. I do think the Big Ten has 3 very strong teams this year with Oregon, Ohio State and PennState but all three had the advantage of the rest of the league being mediocre or worse. But the SEC is strong from top to almost bottom this year and they cannibalized each other knocking some teams out of the playoff picture. It’s going to be an interesting playoff.
