Hope Mr Phelan will prove to be of more benefit to Seamen and the Navy’s organization than his resume would suggest.

Trump Picks Big Donor with Background in Finance and Little Experience with the Military for Navy Secretary | Military.com

John Phelan is President-elect Donald Trump's pick for secretary of the Navy, the first service leadership position that the incoming administration has announced as it prepares to put its stamp on the military.

In a post to his social media site, Truth Social, Trump said that he is naming Phelan, a financier who appears to have no military experience or experience working on military policy and has never worked for a large defense contractor, to lead the Navy.

Federal Election Commission records show that, among his many political contributions, Phelan donated $834,600 to Trump's joint fundraising committee in April. Days after the election, on Nov. 10, he would donate another $93,300, records show.

Trump totally loves America. And it's servicemen and women.

That's why he picked a totally unqualified donor lackey to head the Navy.

Meritocracy in govt now = how much will you bribe me.

I assume this guy expects his ROI on directing the Navy to be alot more than $834,600? The Navy’s budget is $250 Billion so honestly it’s probably not hard for a corrupt individual to hypothetically take many multiples of that even with just a few under the radar contracts. Can probably take an easy 9 figures without being super disruptive.

Who wants to bet inspectors general and a bunch of budget analysts will be some of Trumps very first
“streamlining” of govt targets? I’m sure people get away with plenty now but corruption in govt is ‘bout to go parabolic. Anyone that can’t see this is a fool.

    This.

Should we expect the convicted felon, and formerly incarcerated, CFO of the Trump Organization to have a role in streamlining efficiency collecting bribes related to Navy spending?

Once again Donald Trump is demonstrating that he is the best president in American history that money can buy.

    So much jealousy.
I guarantee you that Biden carried many cabinet members with no experience to their position.
    Let’s bet.

    What’s the bet?
When I prove to be correct…will you agree to only posting pro Trump for a month?
Are you a woman of her word?

Sure - loser must post only contrary to their actual beliefs for a month. Or must generally post the opposite of normal.*

Now you must show the "many cabinet members with no experience to their position" that Biden appointed who were significant financial donors. Bet you can't.

    * This means that your GIFs must actually be amusing.

Curious what this means “While it is not unusual for service secretaries to have been major fundraisers or donors prior to assuming their duties…”

Totally not a bribe. The SCOTUS has ruled that without a written quid pro qou this is just gratuities for a job well done. Sometimes before the job is done. New Rule.
