Something weird going on. Happened a day after he announced that he would return. Living up here, I have become a fan of Mack's over the years. He truly loves his kids and fights for them. Team went though the tragic loss of a teammate this season. He finally got his first win over FSU this season too.
This was the first thing I questioned. Unless there was some buyout repercussions I guessed Mac chose to get fired rather than resign to make a statement because I can't imagine they would disrespect him like that. Never too old to have an ego.
ESPN article makes it seem like he's getting $15M. Brown has three years left on his contract, which pays him $5 million annually. The school said the remainder of the contract will be paid by the UNC athletic department and not through state funds. Brown fired by Tar Heels, to coach vs. Wolfpack
Was Muschamp still his coach in waiting? Lol... Okay, Mac Brown probably should have hung up his whistle a while ago. Now... let's see if his former team can beat their rival N.C. State without him. I think they can and will beat them.
Mack deserved better money not withstanding. Twice he bought UNC football out of gutter. UNC should have told him to quit Sunday for the good of the program. He is a class act.
Mullen would make UNC in the ACC dangerous. They’ve had good O their in the past and could get away with a softer D than in the SEC.
And…he can bring his organizational prowess and abilities to tirelessly recruit 24/7. oops, my throat is bleeding, I have to go right now.
