Out side of the outlier in the ARKY game Ole miss has scored an avg of 25pts a game in their 6 other SEC games this year. Losing 3 of those. But they were ranked near the tops in all these statistical rankings in both offense and defense yet we with our terrible statistical rankings embarrassed them in the swamp

 

Who has played as many back to back to back to back playoff contenders as us this season?

I must admit, it is a bit entertaining watching you try to spin all this good news to suit your doom and gloom MO.

 

Total offense and total defense don't lie. Again, I repeat, literally #1 thru #7 in total defense in the nation are playoff bound. Florida will not win many games giving up 100+ more yards than they gain. Those are just the facts.

 

DJ was 10 of 17? Hes still green and not being forced to carry the entire load like Dart was. Didnt Dart throw over forty times? Our running game and dense carried most of that game and slthough DJ made some very big plays and was an important cog in the wheel, its not all on him. Ten completions for the entire game and we are in game 10 of his freshman year. Starting him game one at Miami may have worked out but i think you are right about giving him time instead of forcing him in. I also think he still isnt ready to throw forty times a game and have that much thrust on him just yet. Our defensive stops in the redzone is the reason we didnt get blown out, not DJ carrying us with his arm.

 

The defense that just played ol miss is not the worst defense in the league no matter what the numbers say.

 

He doesn't count reality, only numbers with no context.

What would florida rank since the "perceived " improvement? Nice try at skewing an argument and using the entire season including the portion no one is defending, i.e. up until the bye week. Since that time the only game the defense looked awful in was Texas.

But you do you and continue to cherry pick contexts for Colorado and Florida to fit your narrative. You keep using those statistics to tell people we have to be better than those rankings to continue to win....no s#!t Sherlock. Not one person here is claiming the overall numbers are satisfactory but you either know that and keep changing the argument or worse...you just can't comprehend.

 

Context like Colorado's "improvement" in statistics which are still mediocre at best coincided with the move to the big12 and away from the pac12. So all of Oke's slobbering over Colorado having the 65th and 74th ranked offense and defense coincided not only with deion as their coach but a considerable drop in schedule strength as well.

At this point it's just fun to shred his argument. He's either trolling or again, unable to use context.

But, but, but isn't scheme just how it makes me feel when I see a bunch formation?

 

I've watched this kind of "special" handling of UF discipline and scheduling matters coming out of Birmingham since the days of Charley Pell and UF's early emergence as a major CFB program. I've also lived among both the Dwags and the Vols, and you could not be more on target about those schools and the nature or their fan bases. And yes, I include most of the rest of the conference in that assessment (sorry Vandy, you're just feckless parasites athletically speaking and don't really count). But in a way, I really don't mind much that they dislike us so much; the ill-regard is definitely mutual.
