The Gators now have the second longest winning streak in NCAA basketball.

UConn has the longest (Duh) but have to play Texas on December 8th in Austin and that should be a coin flip game.

We have Wake and Virginia before that and should be favored in both games.

    Interesting factoid!
But there are at least 8 other D1 teams sitting at 6-0, so it's a tie for 2nd. And probably more in Division 2.

Pretty easy slate thus far (which we needed with the insane conference schedule awaiting us), and we probably aren’t getting through the next five without a loss. But it’s been a great start. Defensive where we hoped it would be, solid 9-man rotation settled, lots of synergy among our playmakers.

Our schedule so far has been fairly light, but it isn't without wins of value to us. The NCAA hasn't yet released its first NET rankings for this season, but if you use KenPom ranks, FSU would be a Quad 2 win, and Southern Illinois, South Florida, and Jacksonville would be Quad 3. Wake Forest, Minnesota/Wichita State, and Arizona State will be good Quad 2 wins, and UNC would be a high Quad 1.
If we get through the next four without a loss, I'll be ecstatic to play UNC at 10-0. Then we'll know we're legit and if we beat UNC in Charlotte, I'll say we're a legit Final Four contender.
Of course, computer rankings will be very fluid for the next month.

Doubt we win both of the ACC games. I’ll be happy with a split

Yeh, #245 in KenPom. 5 SEC teams ranked ahead of us, one just behind.

Wake throttled us last year. Better coached and a focus on teamwork offensively and defensively. Can we handled that, dunno. Tall guards that can play and multiple bigs that will give us trouble. Not even speaking of 6’7” wings. Virginia has a great team also. We might be favored, but it will take supreme effort with each of these teams. Good that we get both in Florida, but lazy passes and not defending threes will knock us out. We can make a statement to the country, beating them both. CTG better have us ready and get us a better end of half/game then we have been exhibiting. Other teams have had better success on in-bounding than us. that is embarrassing. We have better work on this, Ft shooting and our bigs being able to score.

Vandy has a new coach and he is coaching them up, they destroyed us with a worst coach last year. CTG better get better at coaching against set offensives and get us able to get open other than just running and gunning. Add North Carolina to these two teams, of course in Charlotte, where NC fans will sellout the arena and the refs. This is where loose basketball gets wake-up calls and exposed. Hopefully we are working hard on our weaknesses. Go Gators.
We have talent and depth, but everything matters when good coached teams with good talent are on the other side.

They destroyed us? We beat them by 13 in one game and they beat us by one point in the other.

If you went to the Vandy game
In Nashville last year, they made us look like a bottom feeder team, embarrassing as a long time Gator.

I’m with you as we need work on getting better on half court offense, Ft shooting etc.

If a one point loss in a college basketball game made you feel personally embarrassed, you might have some other stuff going on.
