Look at Brazil, confronting Elon and twitter over misinformation and indicting their former trump for treason and attempted murder

our sad reality is that a country as corrupt as Brazil has a better functioning system than we do right now for dealing with rightwing nationalism

this guy and djt are tight. djt support for him will push Brazil closer to China, who just gave Brazil a $700M loan..brzilian beef and soybeans, shipped by rail to Peru deep water port just opening and then to China along with Peru minerals and fish. China taking over S. AMerica

Brazil police indict former President Jair Bolsonaro in attempted coup plot : NPR

Brazil's federal police say the former right-wing president, Jair Bolsonaro, attempted to launch a coup in 2022 to stay in office following his relection defeat. The police indicted 36 other people, as part of what they say was a criminal conspiracy working to keep Bolsonaro in power, after he lost the 2022 election to President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva.

Among the dozens allegedly part of the conspiracy are Bolsonaro's former defense minister, who was also his vice-presidential running mate, and a number of former close aides. The Federal Police report called the coup an attempt to "violently dismantle the constitutional state".

The nearly 900-page report now goes to Brazil's Supreme Court to be referred to the attorney general who will decide whether to go ahead and try the former president.

Why am I not surprised. I was also add that Jair Bolsonaro has been referred to as "Trump of the Tropics". Unlike the US the Brazilians had the good sense to prohibit Bolsonaro from running for office for eight years following the attempted coup. We should have done the same with when our defeated president refused to accept the results of his defeat and tried to remain in office by orchestrating a coup d'état technically a self-coup or autogolpe.

This is what real countries do to criminals who enact a criminal conspiracy to overturn an election.

I think the real question is; does the Brazilian Supreme Court grant immunity to trying to overturn an election, since it's an official act of a President?

pushing them right to China. A US company, starlink, and it's shareholders, are being hurt by the overtly political acts of the CEO, and our enemies are gaining strategic advantages as a result..

China is taking over Brazil, Peru, and Argentina to grow their trade markets and shut us out of them..

Brazil Makes Deal With Starlink Competitor Following Elon Musk X Dispute

Brazil has forged a partnership with China's SpaceSail to expand satellite internet services, potentially disrupting Elon Musk's Starlink dominance in the region.

SpaceSail and Brazil's state telecommunications firm Telebras signed a memorandum of understanding to deliver broadband services through a constellation of low-Earth orbit (LEO) satellites. The collaboration aims to bolster internet availability in remote areas where traditional fiber optics are impractical.

"Our memorandum is not just a partnership but a shared commitment to empowering underserved regions," said SpaceSail CEO Jason Jie Zheng in a speech after the signing, reported by Fortune. The initiative is expected to roll out in 2026, with SpaceSail establishing a local subsidiary by the end of this year.

Currently, Starlink makes up 46 percent of Brazil's satellite internet market, and the country wants to reduce its reliance on Musk's venture, according to the South China Morning Post.

Trouble is the Brazilians will eventually get pissed at the Chinese and tell them to go pound sand too.

Peru tried that. Publicly, China sued. Privately, China reminded the politicians how much bribe money they took, Peru folded and returned full control of port back to China.
