He is just so well-organized and shrugs off the Gaetz withdrawal like he was expecting it or something. I think she's getting confirmed.

For 59, she holds it together pretty well.

I disagree with GatorJDMZ. Pam is a good person and a skilled politician. She has the organizational skills to succeed at DOJ, which is a huge agency tasked with much more than what we see in the headlines.
There is no doubt she will target drug cartels.

I do remember her deciding not to join the multi-state lawsuit against trump U for fraud 1 day after getting a $25K donation to her campaign from trump. Seemed a quid pro quo. Still does.
Nonetheless, there are worse candidates out there.

    Great pick. Solid AG.

And we in the panhandle still get to vote in a new rep to replace Gaetz.

    Win/Win.

Now out of Attorney General running, will Matt Gaetz be sworn in for another House term?

Former U.S. Rep. Matt Gaetz pulled himself out of the running for Attorney General. But can he return to the U.S. House?

The Fort Walton Beach Republican quickly resigned his seat in Congress after President-elect Donald Trump initially nominated him to be the nation’s top cop. A resignation letter read into the congressional record on Nov. 14 suggested that Gaetz, at that point, had no intention of coming back.

“I hereby resign as a United States Representative for Florida’s 1st Congressional District effective immediately,” his resignation letter reads, “and I do not intend to take the oath of office for the same office in the 119th Congress to pursue the position of Attorney General in the Trump administration.”

But is that still his intention now that such a pursuit has ceased? While Gaetz doesn’t hold office now and his official House website is down, the language of his letter doesn’t appear binding with regard to his next term.

I think there might be a battle over this

My guess is if he does try to take his seat the report will be released. He seems to not want that to happen.

Even if she was a bad pick, would Trump glazers admit it?

Where did I say Pam wasn't a good person? I considered her to be a friend and voted for her. That doesn't mean I can't question some of the decisions she made in furtherance of her political career. Many who worked with her would agree. Not joining in the Trump U litigation/$25K donation thing was a huge disappointment. She did a "lock her up" cheerleading thing at the Republican convention which I thought was beneath her. She's also an election denier and there were some ties to the "Church" of Scientology that were concerning. Trump could do worse, but there are many more qualified.

Just as true as that is the opposite is true also.

She certainly is a lot better than some of his other picks thus far.

I'm sure someone on the Left will find something wrong with his pick. She's a great pick that should get confirmed immediately.

I am no Trump supporter but she is a much better pick for AG then was beavis. Shit can two or three of his other choices and this won’t be a horrible cabinet.
