I think I found the positive thread. Seems like the Shivers and other threads get bashed by the negative nellies. I like the positive momentum in recruiting. I did some studying up this morning and here is some interesting things I came across:
1) (according to 247)Not one hs player in FL ranked in top 10 recruits (when was the last time that happened? Never probably
2) also 247: highest rated non IMg Fl hs player is ranked 19th.
3) only 3 FL HS players ranked in top 40 (non img). If you include iMG only 4 total in top 40 (we have one of them Vernell brown.

 

FSU is fearful we nab Thomas as well.
Could the Noles be in danger of losing two of its offensive line commits?

 

Is Thomas going to play Guard or tackle?

 

This would be awesome. Couple of points:
Lineman most of the time are rated lower than skill players and take more time to develop.
Also it takes time to learn proper technique. Most are used to just manhandling under size HS players.
We are taking these players away from an in state rival and it’s late in the recruiting season. This leaves the other school scrambling at a position of need for them.
Hoping some of our more obtuse fans consider this.

 

If you’re a 5*, you are expected to play immediately. If you redshirt, stars really don’t matter.

 

I hear their only running back commit will be in the swamp for Ole Miss too and they are freaking about that as well! LOL

He is actually pretty good too, which shouldn't be very surprising for a team that won the regular season national championship last year to get that kind of talent.

 

Normally winning a single game is not that big for recruiting but I think this one is. Napier really needs to keep the momentum going and land a few of these 4/5 stars. There will be quite a few that will be watching with heightened interest.

 

Yep. A string of 6 4 star commits would catapult us into the top 15 I believe. At this point, I would take that in a heartbeat. We cannot lose anyone. Have to hold on to our DL commits.

They have a low opinion of their OL if they think only two are worthy of being poached.
