It's pretty clear, at this point, that Putin has kompromat on a plurality of Ukranians.

LOL, the only people who want this war to continue going are the Democrats, elites and western "progressives."

No one wants this war to continue. The issue is where and how it ends. Neither side can impose its will on the other, and the two sides are too far apart in their acceptable ends for a settlement. But, again, I think everyone needs to see that second point, so I am wholly in favor of peace talks just so the intransigence is fully on display.

Did not know that the Fins felt that the Chinese anchor drag through their gas pipeline was intentional..that would be two acts by Chinese vessels against Finnish owned assets. Wonder if the other Chinese ship had a russian captain too

Danish Navy boards Chinese ship suspected in European undersea cable sabotage — Sweden’s Defense Ministry put freighter at the time and place of the disruption

According to reports in Eurasia Daily and Defence24, the Danish Navy has boarded and detained the Chinese Bulk Carrier Yi Peng 3 in the Danish Straits, near the exit of the Great Belt. The detention took place on the evening of November 18. According to Financial Times sources, Sweden authorities are "carefully studying the Chinese vessel."
    ...................................
At the time of writing, Marinetraffic.com puts the Chinese ship in the middle of the Kattegatt, the sea bound by Denmark on the west and Sweden in the east. The smaller Danish patrol ship is immediately beside it, while the Hvidbjoernen is located some 15 to 20 miles southwest of the two vessels (although the website says that this position was last updated more than seven hours ago).

Sweden says that it has already dispatched units to the scene of the cut undersea cables to examine the damage and that its police are already investigating the incident. The action of the Danish ships is likely part of a coordinated effort to determine how and why the undersea cables were cut, especially as authorities are crying sabotage.

This comes just a few months after NATO said that Russia was mapping undersea fiber optic cables as part of its strategy to disrupt communications. While the involved ship is flagged by China, the two countries are, if not exactly allies, at least friendly on friendly terms. Last year, another Chinese cargo ship reportedly dragged an anchor for "hundreds of kilometers," thus damaging a gas pipeline in the Baltic that connects Finland and Estonia. Finland contends the incident was intentional.

The uni-party crooks are going to get us into WW3 if they don't cut their crap out. Our CIAs actions since 2014 is why this crap mostly got started. Doesn't matter who is in office Russia won't be giving Ukraine back that Donbass area. Heck the people there are more pro-Russia anyway. This funding needs to stop when Trump takes office.

Russia is forcing its will on Ukraine. It's why they control most of Donbass which was their objective. Ukraine won't be getting that back in any deal.

What war have you been watching for two and half years? Russia, great military power that it is, cannot even achieve air superiority over Ukraine. Since, again, we need to discuss what words mean, "imposing its will" means being able to force Ukraine to accept an unequal peace or catastrophic defeat, such as what Germany did to France in June 1940. Russia is not even close to a situation where Ukraine is prepared to quit fighting.

Ukraine strikes Putin estate with British missiles in bold move

Ukraine used British Storm Shadow missiles for the first time to attack military targets in Russia, according to the Financial Times, which cites Western officials. The target was reportedly Putin's estate in the Kursk region. Kyiv issued a brief and mysterious statement on the matter.

You are wrong they pushed them to keep shelling that eastern part knowing Russia would get involved eventually and got what they wanted but now that eastern part won't be going back to Ukraine and this wasted insane amount of crooked money we sent to them will be coming to and end. Anyone that thought Ukraine could actually prevent this after provoking Russia over that Eastern area was living in fantasyland.

You base this on what? There is no zero evidence of CIA involvement in the events of 2014 and lots of evidence that the Obama Administration was in fact looking the other way to an almost criminally negligent degree. Just because you want something to be true to fit a narrative doesn't make it so, just like the left wing with their fictitious "Trump does whatever Putin wants, because Putin has a video of prostitutes pissing on him." Clowns to the left of me, and jokers to the right ...

Did good Thomas Massie even watch the video that he linked? That was in reference to the President launching an attack on Iran without statutory authorization from Congress (which President Bush was never going to do; it was a made-up controversy as I pointed out at the time). The question at matter here does not involve an attack by the U.S. on anyone. Congress has authorized the President to give those munitions to Ukraine and did not place any restrictions on their use whatsoever. Those restrictions were always under President Biden’s discretion, and therefore it was his discretion to lift them.

If the idea here was to paint Biden as a hypocrite, then Thomas Massie could have easily brought up that Clinton took us to war with Serbia and Obama took us to war with Libya, in neither case with the statutory authorization that Biden deemed so critical, and in neither case did then-Senator Biden “lead the charge” to impeach either President for it.

Surprised that was a target. Was there a strategic purpose— instill fear in him? Did we and NATO support that? We’ve maintained a policy of avoiding escalation, and making it even more personal doesn’t seem like it would help. As you mentioned, there are more effective military targets.

I’m curious about that myself. Emotionally, I’m all for whatever makes Putin angry. Intellectually, I would like to know what they were targeting and why.

Since the vast majority of aid to Ukraine from the US has been ammo, materiel(significant amounts of surplus, outdated), and humanitarian, perhaps the poster can link to "insane amount of crooked money we sent to them" so we won't believe he made this statement up out of thin air ( or from a rightwing wacko site). We'll await.

Ukraine is a crooked money laundering operation also. Hunter Biden was pocket change compared to the overall corruption. I am sure Zelensky has pocketed all kinds of money since taking over. He probably has fancy pads in foreign countries he can run to when his people see what this war has done to them long term.

The CIA are good about not leaving breadcrumbs. That is by design of course, for obvious reasons. So it's not like anyone would have a mountain of evidence to present to you. Kinda disingenuous to challenge on these grounds. The CIA have been involved with many coups in foreign capitals. It's part of what they do. It's not exactly a ridiculous assertion. And the fact Obama rolled over for Putin doesn't preclude the CIA from doing what they did. In fact, installing a more Western-friendly government in Kyiv is an easy way to turn the tables without making a bigger mess. Both things could be and were true at the time.
