Very impressive extending their streak to 0-1 against ranked competition. Keep it up and they just may give a top 20-25 team a slight concern.

Colorado moves up to #16 in the AP poll. With BYU losing to Kansas, Colorado is now the favorite to win the Big 12 and advance to the CFP. Love him or hate him, it's pretty incredible that Prime is on the cusp of a CFP in his 2nd season. Colorado plays Kansas this Saturday, so there is still some work left to do and they will still have to defeat BYU in the conference championship game. But you know Sanders and Hunter are going to show up with this opportunity for even more media exposure. Pretty good story here overall.

    He's a troll.

When you understand that, it won't seem odd.

Why the mods tolerate him is beyond me.

This is not the CU of old! This is stinkin' Neon Deon Colorado! There is no foundation for ongoing success, he'll pull in a few top recruits and backfill from the portal but he'll lose in the portal as well. It's an unsustainable model of running a football program.

He will not ever get a 5th down(lol), this is not the Buffaloes of the Bill McCartney mold!
I strongly doubt it ever produces a championship of any kind.

Yes. Very exciting. Everyone on my block were celebrating out in the streets. Most of the fires were quickly extinguished and almost all of the sexual assaults were reduced to misdemeanors. It just shows how much we are all interested in Colorado.

Just read an analysis and I think what Deion is doing is groundbreaking. Traditionally colleges wanted 85 great scholarship players. If you were most teams about 20% of those were scout/scrubs who would never really compete on the field, but if you were Bama/UGA, they were 5 star backups giving you overwhelming depth and talent. Kirby admitted that with the portal, the days of keeping great young talent on the bench for 1 or 2 years behind older players are gone.

So Deion is looking at college like a 53 man NFL roster. He plays the top players and rarely uses his bench. You get your stud 5 star high school talent and combine it with proven portal talent - spending the vast majority of $ on 50 to 60 players. More schools will take this approach, meaning High school classes will be smaller w/ the best players even more coveted (read, getting paid more). Coaches will not want to pay for and develop a 4 star just to see them transfer after a year or two.

Risks are missing on evaluations and injuries with little depth. Further, does the FSU experiment from last year prove that the portal is more variable than thought in building a roster, or is it a reflection of limitations in Norvell as a coach when he does not have a really good QB?

Dabo is the antithesis of the above. Kirby smart said UGA will no longer be able to stockpile talent like they used too (cannot afford to pay 8 5 star DTs full value so other schools will poach).

This is already playing out in non-revenue sports where they are moving away from "scholarship limits" to roster limits. New College Roster Limits Bring Change to Golf Scholarship Opportunities - Hurricane Junior Golf Tour (HJGT). So instead of having 12 guys on the golf team using 6 half scholarships, you can now have 9 roster spots, all on full scholarship. The better schools are complaining b/c they can't stockpile talent. I suspect that with the NCAA/schools forced to settle and pay their labor (players) we will see cuts in that labor force and I expect the football scholarships to be cut from 85.

Personally, I do not think "college is for everyone" and the notion fostering lower performing athletes toward better uses of their time (ie, go to a trade school or actually get a valuable degree rather than spending 6 hours/day playing a sport you will never make a dime at) is not bad.
