Apparently, it didn't. Because the border isn't "secure," and there is the wall. Do you understand the concept of "work?"
Here is a quote from the article: “I told Trump that if you want to look at a model, it’s done, it’s in San Diego where you have almost no illegal immigration,” Mr. Hunter said. “Call it a fence, call it a wall. It’s completely changed the area and made the border safe to live.” Make it difficult to cross, use technology to identify the few who try to cross and then use personnel to stop them from crossing. Thanks for the link, it proves my argument.
So how much of the southern border has a wall? Hint, it's not close to even half. Since you've already been shown data by Oklahoma saying that when Tx increased their security the crossing slowed dramatically. Any anyone with a brain sees that if there is a wall, most people will go to where there isn't one and cross there.
Wait, didn't you claim that the border barriers in Texas shifted immigration to California? Now California is secure?
Where did I say California was secure? The article you posted that I copied talked about a section in San Diego.
So here you've quoted example 6,498 from wall supporters about how a highly manned, short section of wall in a heavily populated area should actually be considered......... quite the same thing as who knows how many miles of almost entirely unmanned wall that divides along a roughly 1,900 mile long span of wide open border land. Aren't we (about 8 years) past this level of the argument by now, with whether that's a valid comparison? What's next, a 1,500-1,900 mile wall through the desert will work because the Berlin Wall did?
Didn't work? Ok, thanks for confirming you aren't serious about discussing it. Texas enacted tougher border policies and illegal crossings stopped. Shocking...
Wow, illegal crossings in Texas have stopped? Are you sure about that? And they just shifted the crossings to the other areas, including the previously declared "secure" border in California? Hooray?
You realize that San Diego County is half the border in California, right? So is it now your argument that San Diego County is secure but not Imperial County (the other half)? BTW, here is the border wall in Imperial County, CA:
A wall, manned 24X7 would be effective. Can we afford to man all 2000 miles of border with Mexico? Costs would be exorbitant. And unmanned areas with a wall? Practically useless. Unmanned areas with walls have an average of 11 breaches a day. And no, this doesn't mean just 11 persons cross in these breaches. These are 11 holes where multiple people cross. And these breaches are only the known cuts. Doesn't account for any climbers or possible tunnels.
Where did I say San Diego County was secure? I quoted the article that you linked that showed a section of the wall in San Diego. You do know there are more cities in San Diego County than just San Diego.
Not on the border there isn't. The entire border region of San Diego County is in San Diego city. So is San Diego secure or not?
That is hilarious. The ol' "shifted the crossing to the other areas", you mean the places without a wall? Man, tough to keep up with your flip flopping. I thought walls don't work. Now you are saying they do. You sound like Harris LOL.
He does, he's hoping to go off on a tangent because he looks foolish for saying walls work when he's been arguing walls don't work for years. So he's caught in a lie and doesn't know what to do. It's hilarious to see.
No, California has a wall. In both counties on the border. And it shifted the traffic there. So, apparently, it shifted traffic to areas with a wall. I suspect that you do have trouble keeping up.
LOL. You got called out and actually proved that walls work, thanks. It's so awesome. You are flailing! Loving it. It's ok Skippy, we all know walls work. But you keep saying it doesn't, think it's just you and zona who actually still believe that garbage LOL.
So the wall shifted people to...another wall, where they entered into the country. And your response is "See the wall worked!" LOL! Even the baby seal would have had enough clubbing by now. But here you are, coming back for more clubbing endlessly.
