With Georgia playing 2-8 Mass this weekend and us playing #6 FPI Ole Miss, SOS ought to change this weekend.

 

So the strength of schedule is based on the games as you go through the season and not the whole schedule at once?

 

depends on the source - they all have different methods of calculating it. Some do it based on last years records, some current seasons, some take into account not only your opponents but your opponents opponents. All kids of methods to the madness.

 

FPI says: "Rank among all FBS teams of games already played schedule strength, from perspective of an average Top 25 team."

Sagarin says: "The SCHEDULE ratings represent what the rating would have to be for a
hypothetical team to have a mathematical expectation of winning precisely 50%
of their games against the schedule played by the team in question in the games
that it has played so far."
