I know Grant1 personally, and I can vouch for him. CTG has him on speed dial and consults with him regularly during the game.

I've given this some thought and can find no flaws in your philosophy.

We are not a smart nor are we a good passing team imo. Sooo many balls with the earth’s atmosphere underneath them….and in the middle of the court. Don’t understand. They wouldn’t do that in practice and get away with it would they? lol

Mistake-filled play is common for most teams early in the season, especially when you face higher levels of competition.

They certainly aren't flawless, but championships aren't won in the first three games of the season.

see GatorPlanets comment for your answer.

12 boards were awesome but 4 TOs were costly

I really don’t get all the Aberdeen criticisms in this thread based on a handful of plays/possessions. Kid only had one turnover, made some big shots, and was outstanding against pressure and on defense. Also made some nice passes, like the advance pass to Clayton that got a break started or the drive and kick to Condon that ended in a weakside three.

That said, I completely agree that he is better as a secondary ballhandler, not primary. He is much better getting downhill and creating off ball action than he is setting up the half court, calling for screens, and initiating ball actions.

I'd recommend watch the second half again. Sure he made a few 3s that helped but he also forced a few without ever engaging the offense. The key is when he didn't pass the ball or struggled to get the offense started early in the shot clock. Sure when Clayton is feeling it, he sometimes takes the early three that most of us are okay with, but he is one of our best scorers. At times, Aberdeen takes to long to pass or never passes at all and has to create a long shot that is usually non productive in the FSU game. Let's see if he improves against future major opponents.

Looking further out to our next two quality opponents in KenPom: Wake (78) and UVA (77).

My goodness, ACC, let's just hope this is advanced stats needing some warmup time.

Fun facts, here are our ESPN FPI matchup predictor chance of winning for coming games:

    99% - FAMU
    96% - SIU
    69% - Wake
    82% - UVA
    70% - Arizona State
    28% - UNC
    95% - UNF
    99% - Stetson

And then, kickoff SEC with an 11AM game at UK. Grrrrr...

I would love to go to the UNC game sitting at 10-0. But we'll have some good games before that... Wake Forest, Minnesota or Wichita State, UVA, Arizona State.
Southern Illinois may be a good game too. They play in one of the better midmajor conferences.
But UNC can make a resume.
