Just two weeks ago it looked as if freshman quarterback DJ Lagway suffered a season ending injury vs Georgia. The rookie couldn’t put any pressure on his leg and had to be carted off the field in the second quarter with the Gators on top.

After an MRI showed the hamstring injury was less significant than they originally thought, Lagway missed one game vs Texas and was back for Florida’s week 12 home game against No.22 LSU.

I hope this helps him moving forward. Forced him to move in the pocket and find receivers downfield and he showed he can do it. Really bodes well for his NFL future.

When one can flick ones wrist while off balance, under pressure and have it land 40 yards down field directly where aimed on a frozen rope, one becomes the BMOC.

Me, or I would have, lol. At my age I'd have my name in the stadium by now given that type of ability. Imagine one of us crazed idiots who love a team we never played for having the talent and ability to go and play for the Gators. Oh wait, Tim Tebow already did that.

Hoping DJL really loves the/us Gators as much as it seems and enough to stick with us. He is a good one and seems to still be selling the program to recruits.

I believe as the Gator O-Line improves (coaching up, getting experience, and imports from the portal), the Gator running game will become a big threat.
With this improvement the chances of Lagway getting injured will decrease.
He will not have to expose himself as much to the risk of stretching out a play or sitting in the pocket too long.

Starting this year has put him ahead of the curve. Saturday was big day for his development. He'll grow every game and by start of next fall should be money.

Amazingly, Napier didnt call any designed running plays for DJ against LSU! I wonder why?!

2 weeks ago I posted that it was utterly stupid to call ANY running plays for DJ given our next option at QB was the 3rd string walkon and I got blasted with a bunch of bacon on this forum (they know who they are) I'll say it again. It was DUMB to call a designed run against Texas. Even if DJ was fully recovered, who here thinks it would have been a good idea to call run plays for our QB against LSU this past week? I'll wait.

Well he was crippled against LSU so then it would be kind of stupid but in other games, he is a duel threat with his legs so maby, you might want to call that play. Call me crazy

So you are recommending Napier call a few designed run plays for DJ today with the walk on QB as the backup?
