See my previous post. Tesla is losing when it comes to battery innovation. They halted that battery and started buying from their Chinese competitor. I'm sure they will try again

Chinese cars: Almost two-thirds of Germans are considering buying

Cars from China: One purchasing argument in particular plays a role
The low purchase price is cited as the main reason for buying a Chinese car brand. 83 percent of respondents cited price as a purchasing argument, followed by innovative technology (55 percent) and attractive design (37 percent).

    Further in the article..

In various ADAC car tests, Chinese brands perform well and score points for their high level of safety and good workmanship. Points of criticism include the driver assistance systems and the air conditioning, which sometimes work poorly.

Chinesische Autos: Fast zwei Drittel der Deutschen erwägen Kauf

You want to put money back in the pockets of Americans? Offer them an ev vehicle for $15k that offers a 5 star safety rating. They are available in other countries yet we can't get one for under $45k

Yea, sounds good. My problem is that I'm not a SUV/ truck guy and there are less and less good small car options. Just came back from Publix and had a monster truck parked on one side and a suburban on the other. Could barely get into my infinite coupe much less see to back out.
My wife has a standard size SUV so probably have to go that route eventually.

You need a Hyundai sedan with the option to back the car up using your remote.
