On my list of thinking we have greatness ahead, three people think I’m being over optimistic. yeah I’m being optimistic but why not? But when someone hits the button I like it as over which n is different. im not taking today. Im talkijg Tenn, im twlking UGA until injury, im talking Miami with lag (all due respect to Mertz who I love). I’m talking CBN and the players huddling around him. I can’t remember being in this situation and rallying around the coach. I think when before I thought he was soft; he’s making changes and getting better and if people like Lag love him, there is a reason. Players rally behind him. I see him differently. I see a kind person with passion. I’ve always said passion can surpass quality or add to it. Tebow, to wit. I see this team gelling together and every recruit today saw that. call it optimistic (overly) if you like but teams that do well get happy when they see the gel. They have every reason maybe right to just give up. But our defense, ohhhhh that defense was lights out; lights never on. There were some high IQ playing for the first time I could remember and hearing a couple of our fans calling out some of the greatest ones reminds me we still have high IQ fans. Especially remember the one where someone called out the throwing it over the stuffed up front 7 over for a little pitch and catch if memory serves just scorching everyone. Mertz is in a tough situation but I think he’d be making a personal mistake if he stays and if he goes portal which lead us needing a couple QBs and Mertz to go have some fun in the big boy league and make his real money. His upside might even be getting a contract unless he could get a 1st round pick which I don’t think he can. Not sure why we have such an injury bug. But yeah I feel a little optimistic for the first time in a while and proud of everyone including the fans who are being reasonable in their general support of CBN. I think if we were given this info preseason we would be happy. Considering sans injury everyone we played was a potential win and remove the refs and a probably win at Tenn and FSU out of way and we are growing while in the fire. DJ is a baller and impossible not to love. So happy and I’m always amazed at him and Mertz are truly buds. This is comeodery and team cohesion. I’m glad ETN left. He’s all about him which can work but not for a championship. We all know how important it is to stay positive in the team and rally together and have that chemistry. Just like the Dodgers. I can’t imagine what the odds are of having 6 sacks and not winning. Gotta be lower 10% percentile with a + margin turnover ratio brings it down to 5. i pulled that number out of my arse but I bet if anything they are better.

I'm still not back on the bandwagon and think of CBN as a players coach like Zook, but LSU players gave up at the 1 yardline and let us score. Our players don't do that. They fight at the 1 yardline.
If you look forward to the next game, expect us to play hard and defend the Swamp as best as we can, and have hope for a win then you are on the "bandwagon". Otherwise you're riding in the back of the pickup.
