There's a way to say bye to "slave labor" while not causing the labor shortages that will cause prices to rise, also known as inflation. It's doing what Reagan did in the 80s. Make the labor legal, giving them a way to complain about unfair practices.

While the voters who helped elect Trump may not use the services of landscapers or live-in nannies they definitely purchase produce and meat products. Something tells me that they're not going to be pleased when the price of a head of lettuce is a dollar more next year than it is today. The same for the price of their turkey come Thanksgiving 2025 or the price of their bologna or chicken.

Find me a toaster made in the USA. You probably can’t, and that has nothing to do with immigrant labor here. It’s a result of free trade. The reason there is no toaster made in the USA is that countries like China effectively employ slave labor in their factories. I actually looked into this a few years back (last time I needed a toaster), and the only model made in the western world was out of the Uk, and it sells for $300. The brand was called Dualit, and guess what even at $300 they are taking production out of the U.K. You seem to be of the delusion that it’s only going to be “rich libz” paying more for lawn care. The reality is that worker shortages will span into agriculture and construction. If we also get “across the board tariffs” prepare for shortages and massive inflation even compared to 2022.
If that's the case they would have also have voter's remorse when the cost of those services significantly increases. Between the mass deportations and resulting labor shortages and his proposed across the board tariffs the inflation responsible for the defeat of the Biden/Harris Administration will seem mild in contrast to the coming Trumpflation resulting from the Donald's policies.
I appreciate the reply. One thing I wont be doing for anyone is looking up stuff. Put in your own work. I try pretty hard to operate with a sense of good will and honesty. Small kitchen appliances as well as tools are still made in the USA. I know because Ive recently replaced tools, toaster and a slow cooker lost in hurricane Ian. I used it as an opportunity to show my teenage kids about money being a store of value. Were they expensive or are my dollars worth so little? The wealth of the middle and lower class has been purposely drained over the last 50 years. Cato Inst did an exhaustive and compelling study on it pre Covid. If i remember correctly, their figure was somewhere in the $70t range.
