Redshirt senior defensive back Trikweze Bridges continues to work at cornerback leading up to Florida’s week 12 matchup against No.21 LSU.

The Oregon transfer played cornerback throughout his five seasons in Eugene before joining the Gators as a safety, which Bridges and UF’s staff felt was his natural position. However, due to Florida’s laundry list of injuries at cornerback, which includes Jason Marshall, Ja’Keem Jackson, and Devin Moore, Bridges has switched back to cornerback in an effort to maximize Florida’s defensive production.

Cormani really struggled last week...raw talent just isn't enough at this level.
Keep hoping jakeem gets back but they may be shooting for a Redshirt at this point

I didn’t get to watch the game last week as I was busy coaching my own, but it sounds like we went zone and blew coverages. Raw talent works best in man over team play. I believe if Cormani can be allowed to play man, with Bridges sliding back to corner, we should be decent on the back end again. I think the DL should be able to get some pressure up front. My biggest concern this week is losing Pup. With that said, maybe having DJ and Badger back means our offense can once again play some ball control and help the thin D rest? Here’s to hoping! If it makes you feel better, they’re without LBs Perkins and Ibieta, while also missing Guilloury at DT.

It could keep our defense off the field though. So it kind of does.

Totally unrelated ish, remember when we were recruiting Perkins? Did we ever actually have a shot? Or was that just unrequited hopes and dreams?
