They arent even close to being one of the two best teams in the sec. If they back in to the championship, that would be a worst case scenario pointing out how worthless the sec championship really is.
yes, and no -- if I'm bama, i want to finish 3rd. Why play in the SEC title game? finish 3rd you make the playoffs, go to sec championship, you might lose and get bounced from playoffs because you are now a 3 loss team with uga/ole miss on your heels. its just crazy like you said, if this below happens, and arkansas beats mizzu in a few weeks then its: (lsu's only chance at playoffs is winning sec). Keep in mind this is sec standings and has nothing to do with playoff standings etc. 1. texas 2. lsu 3. bama 4. georgia
You're right. You're so right. LSU has a reason to play this Saturday. We do not, which is one of the many reasons Lagway will not play.
Herman never won the conference and was trending down from his best year (his 2nd) a 10-4 slate. Sarkisian won the Big 12 in his 3rd year and played in the 4 team playoff for the National title. He has his team in contention to win the SEC in their fist attempt. I see a BIG difference between the two.
The sec dtanding are as dumb as any way ive ever seen to pock two teams. The records arent even comparable given the schedules. Lsu winning would be a farce.
Bears ownership is terrible, doesn't make the coach less incompetent, just makes the hope of the next one being a good coach extremely low.
Another scathing national article on the rot in Florida's athletic dept: Florida athletics need fixing beyond Billy Napier. Who will save it?
Safties without corners dorsnt work too well. Zone with screwups makes a mess and its hard to tell who screwed it up
Over 12 years, Steve Spurrier never lost more than 2 SEC regular season games in a year. And 2 losses was the exception, not the norm. In 9 of 12 seasons, Spurrier either ran the table 8-0 or went 7-1 in the SEC.
If an OC is hired, it could be argued it would be cheaper to part ways with CBN now. Any new coach hired knows it’s likely a one year audition. Head coaches aren’t the only ones with buyouts and anyone coming in will demand a financial parachute. Much of the savings in a decreased buyout for CBN could be offset by new hire buyouts. I think about how Kerwin jumped on the sinking USF ship.
To be exact, in 12 SEC regular seasons, Spurrier lost 12 games. His SEC average record was 7-1. Steve Spurrier: 12 losses in 12 years Billy Napier: 14 losses in <3 years
instead of okeechoobee you should have named yourself Captain Obvious BTW his name is spelled SPURRIER
If you want to replace your coach, then having the current GM and his staff do it is most likely going to fail. The whole organization needs to be overhauled. Same with us here, the UAA and AD are failing us.. That's what needs to be the focus. If that is overhauled, then everything will work itself out
If Billy is forced to hire a real OC in year 4. I would argue it’s even more reason why he should be jettisoned after year 3.
